Name: Liptastik Glossy Lip Pen in Hot Lips, Lip Lover and Loudmouth
Brand: Eyeko
Size: 4g
Price: £6.50

From Eyeko’s website:
Just line and fill in one easy sweep for liner, colour and gloss in one! Available in 2 must-have shades featuring a fresh fruity fragrance and added gloss for luxe lips.

What I liked:
- very pigmented
- creamy texture
- easy to apply
- doesn’t dry lips
- longlasting
- the scent
- the packaging
- the price

What I didn’t like:
- can’t be sharpened

As my regular readers know, I don’t wear bright lips a lot cos I prefer to emphasize my eyes. And also because I’m too lazy to apply a lipliner first and then having to use a lip brush to apply lipstick properly. So, I end up just swiping on lipgloss instead. But I think I may wear bold lips a lot more often in the future thanks to Eyeko Liptastik Glossy Lip Pens. These cute chubby little pens allow you to achieve beautiful, bright lips quickly. There is no need to use a lip liner, just use the pencil to line your lips and fill them in.

From L to R: Loudmouth, Hot Lips and Lip Lover.

Eyeko Liptastick Glossy Lip Pens are all insanely pigmented. Usually, this type of lip pen offers a light coverage, but not these. These are bright and bold from the first swipe and with a slightly glossy finish. They’re not as shiny as a gloss, they’re not shimmery at all, they simply provide a nice sheen that I really like.

These chubby pencils have a wonderful and lightweight texture. Very creamy and buttery-soft, they glide effortlessly on the lips and feel very comfortable on. I didn’t find them drying at all although my lips aren’t really dry. If yours are, you may want to apply a thin layer of lip balm underneath, just in case. They also have a sweet, fruity scent that’s pleasant but not overpowering.

They are available in three shades. Here are the swatches:

Hot lips is a cool, bright and very bold fuchsia shade. It’s not the easiest shade to pull off and definitely not a color for the faint of heart, but it’s really gorgeous!

Lip lover is an orange based-red, which looks best on women with warm skintones. Like Hot Lips, it is very bright so it’s best to keep the rest of the makeup natural when you wear it.

Loudmouth is my favourite. It looks like a fuchsia shade with strong red undertones when swatched but on my lips it turns into a bright rosy pink. It is less bright, and therefore more easily wearable even during the day, than the other two shades.

The shades are also very longlasting. They last more than 5 hours on me and don’t disappear, just fade a bit, if you have a meal. I’m very impressed with their staying power although I have to say that bold lip shades usually tend to be very longlasting. These chubby pencils are also easy to carry around with you should you want to do any touch-ups during the day or take them on a trip. And while I love twist-up pencils, some people may have a problem with the fact these can’t be sharpened.

Available at: Eyeko.com

Summary
If you are a fan of bright lips, Eyeko Liptastik Glossy Lip Pens in Hot Lips, Lip Lover and Loudmouth will allow you to achieve them quickly. They are very pigmented, creamy and longlasting. They apply effortlessly, smell good and don’t dry lips. However, they aren’t for the faint of heart and can’t be sharpened.

Baked pressed powders highly pigmented with finely milled pearlescent shimmer for a long-lasting flush of colour. My Coral Crush. Peachy keen! Get your glow on with shimmery coral colour for a flattering blush look.

What I liked:
- very pigmented
- warm and flattering shade of coral
- perks up your complexion
- shimmery finish
- powder is finely milled and easy to blend
- longlasting
- packaging is pretty (but bulky, see below)
- the price

What I didn’t like:
- texture isn’t soft to the touch
- bulky packaging
- brush included is useless

Will you be wearing coral this summer? I sure will. I love coral shades. They are summery, provide a nice pop of color to your look without being over-the-top and look good on pretty much everyone. Coral blushes, in particular, are a great, quick way to warm up your complexion and the Cheeky Colour Blush in My Coral Crush from Eyeko does that extremely well.

My Coral Crush contains two shades: a bright coral and an orange coral, both infused with gold shimmers. When blended together you get a peachy coral shade that perks up your complexion while providing a healthy glow to your cheeks. I got a few compliments when wearing this blush. It just looks natural on, it gives me a healthy radiant appearance and it’s just the perfect shade for summer.

The texture isn’t soft to the touch but the powder is finely milled, doesn’t fly everywhere and it is easy to blend. But you need to be very careful with application (especially if you have pale skin like me) cos My Coral Crush is extremely pigmented. I didn’t realize that the first time I used it, so I happily swept it on as I usually do with blushes but when I looked in the mirror, to my horror, a clown was staring back at me.

The second time went much better. I used a stipple brush (a fan brush would work just as well) and a light hand and this time, I loved the result. It looked natural, warm and flattering and it stayed put for the entire day. It faded a bit towards the end of the day but there really isn’t any need to retouch it unless you’re going out at night. Keep in mind though, that I have dry cheeks so blushes, even cream one, tend to last long on me.

I’m not sure how I feel about the packaging. The box it comes in is pretty. And I also like the cute Eyeko logo on the packaging and that it includes a mirror to make application easier. The brush included with the blush though has rough bristles that scratch skin and is useless. In addition, the little compartment that houses it makes the packaging quite bulky, which I’m not too keen on. I’d personally prefer to do away with the brush and have a smaller packaging.

Available at: Eyeko.com

Summary
Eyeko Cheeky Colour Blush Duo in My Coral Crush is a peachy coral blush infused with gold shimmers that warms up your complexion and gives it a nice, healthy glow that lasts all day. Very pigmented, a little goes a long way. The powder is not soft to the touch but blends easily. The packaging is pretty but bulky and the brush included is useless.

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all ok and that, those of you that celebrated it, had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Today’s look is a request from my dear friend and blogger Mylanqolia. She asked me to do a look with gold and green and I added some purple just to make the look more colorful and fun!

However, while I like the color combination and placement, I’m not 100% satisfied on how the look turned out. I was gonna use the gold in the Sleek Storm palette but I’ve been using that a lot lately and I then noticed the Layla No Transfer Creamy Eyeshadow n.6, a beautiful creamy gold. It was sent to me by the company so that I could write a review about it but I hadn’t got around to using it yet so I thought this was the perfect opportunity to finally do so.

I don’t know if it is because cream eyeshadows and I just don’t get along, if the shadow didn’t like the Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy (which I applied before deciding to use a cream eyeshadow, otherwise I wouldn’t have used it) or if it simply isn’t a great product at all, but after 10 minutes the gold began to fade so I had to apply quite a lot of product, and using eyeliner or blending eyeshadow on top of it was quite difficult.

I think I’m gonna experiment with the eyeshadow and use it on its own or with a different base to see if things improve, but so far I’m not impressed. Also, I’ll probably redo this look using another gold shade so hopefully it’ll turn out better. And yes, I know I have gold flecks on my lashes, I cleaned that up after I took the pix, lol.

Anyway, enough talk for now, enjoy the look and any suggestion or advice you might have is, as always, very welcome.

Directions:
- Start by applying an eyeshadow primer to your eyes. I used NYX Eyeshadow Base in White as the white color would really make the eyeshadows pop. And it helps keeping them in place for longer too.
– Apply Fyrinnae’s Pixie Epoxy (if you don’t have, you can skip this step) on the lid to make the colors really pop.
- Sweep a gold eyeshadow (better if powder, but I used a cream one, Layla No Transfer Creamy Eyeshadow n.6) on the lid.
- Apply a reddish purple eyeshadow (I used Kiko Eyeshadow #43 Vinaccia Scuro) on the crease.
- Sweep a pale green shadow (I used the one in the Essence Quattro Eyeshadow in Party Animal) on the crease on top of the purple and blend where the two colors meet. Then, apply the same green shade in the inner corners of the eyes.
- Apply a medium purple shade (I used the one in the ELF Beauty Book palette) on the outer V to darken it.
- Sweep a pale gold shade (I used the one in the NYC Metro Quartet Eyeshadow Palettes in Union Square) on the browbone to highlight it and blend it well where it meets with the green to soften any harsh lines.
- Line your upper lid with a black pencil liner (I used Pupa True Eyes Eyeliner) and your waterline with a purple one (I used Kiko Precision Eye Pencil in Purple). Apply mascara.
- On your face, apply your usual foundation (I used YSL Teint Singulier Sheer Powdercreme Veil Foundation in no.5) and then concealer (I used Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer in Porcelain) to cover dark circles or any other imperfection you may have.
- Sweep a peachy pink blush with gold shimmers (I used Sleek Blush in Rose Gold) on the cheeks and highlight the cheekbones, middle of the nose and chin with a white highlighter (I used the white shade in the Wet n Wild Cover All Concealer Palette).
- Sweep a sheer pink gloss (I used Eyeko London Lips in Portobello) on the lips.

Name: Fat Balm in Frosting
Price: €7,00

From Eyeko’s website:

What I liked:
- can be used both on cheeks and lips
- easy to apply on the cheeks, looks very natural
- adds color and moisture to your pout
- good pigmentation
- fairly moisturizing
- lasts long on the cheeks
- contains SPF
- the price

What I didn’t like:
- not moisturizing enough for those with dry lips
- not very longlasting on the lips
- the grey color of the packaging
- size is too big to apply color to lips

I remember trying the old Eyeko Fat Balms a couple of years ago and was impressed with them, so I was very excited when the brand relaunched the product a few weeks ago. Available in six shades, I was lucky enough to have the chance to try one of them, Frosting. A bright reddish coral in the tube, Frosting is a beautiful pink once applied.

Frosting has a balmy, not-sticky consistency that dries to a dewy finish. Also, the color payoff is just right: it’s not too sheer that you have to keep layering for the color to show up, but it’s not too pigmented either so you don’t have to worry about ending up with clown cheeks as it’s impossible to apply too much. This is really foolproof.

First, I decided to try it on my lips. I find its consistency fairly moisturizing but if you have dry lips, a lip balm underneath is necessary as this won’t be hydrating enough for you. Also, the size of the lip balm makes it a bit tricky to apply color on the lips so you need to be careful. Or just use a lip brush instead.

But once on the lips, the result is beautiful. It gives them a natural pop of pink color without ending up in fine lines. Plus, it contains SPF 15 to keep your pout protected from the sun rays. Sadly though, as most lip products, it doesn’t last long and needs to be reapplied several times throughout the day.

Although I like it as a lip tint, I love it a lot more as a blush. As I mentioned above, this is impossible to overdo. It is easy to apply and spread on your cheeks and it gives a nice pink tint with a dewy finish that looks very natural on. Also, on the cheeks, it lasts a great deal more. In fact, I’d put it on in the morning and won’t have to retouch it until evening. Very impressive, I think.

Instead, I’m not too fond of the packaging. The color of the tube used to be a pretty pink but it’s now a depressive great that looks a bit tacky. But at least it’s practical to carry around with you and it comes in a colorful fuchsia box, which is very pretty. Also, the Fat Balm has a sweet scent, which reminds me of biscuits, but once applied, you just can’t smell it anymore. Oh, and it’s limited edition, so if you’re interested, get it now!

Available at: Eyeko.com

Summary
Eyeko Fat Balm in Frosting is a beautiful pink tint for cheeks and lips. Not too sheer, but not too pigmented, it provides a natural pink pop of color that lasts long on the cheeks, but disappears soon from lips. The consistency is balmy and fairly moisturizing, but the big size makes it a bit hard to apply it on lips. On the cheeks, application is a breeze though.

Hello everyone,

TGIF! Have you got any plans for the weekend? I just plan to have plenty of rest and catch up on some sleep. I know, it’s boring, but my insomnia is back so I haven’t sleep much at all this week and I’m now feeling very tired.

In other news, after 3 weeks of gold looks (don’t worry they will be back soon), I decided to do something with greens and browns. As you can see, I’ve also cut my hair. The last time I had a hair cut was a year ago (gasp!) so it was much needed. It wasn’t a drastic change though, I just wanted a haircut that was practical and easy to manage.

Anyway, here’s the look, I hope you like it:

Products used:
- NYX Eyeshadow Base in White
- Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy
- Sleek I-Divine Storm Eyeshadow Palette (pale cream, medium shimmery brown and matte dark brown)
- Beauty From The Earth eyeshadow in Envy
- Michael Todd Gel Eyeliner in Chocolate Creme
- Layla Lash Art mascara in black
- YSL Teint Singulier Sheer Powdercreme Veil Foundation
- Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer in Porcelain
- Fyrinnae Finishing Powder Oil Control
- Milani Minerals Blush in Luminous
- Wet n Wild Cover All Concealer Palette
- Eyeko London Lips in Portobello

- Sweep a pale cream shade (I used the one in the Sleek Storm palette) on the browbone to highlight the eyes.
- Apply a shimmery medium brown shade (I used the one in the Sleek Storm palette) on the crease. Using a pencil or smudger brush, apply the same shade on your lower lashline.
- Apply a bright light green with slight yellow undertones (I used BFTE in Envy eyeshadow) on the lid.
- Sweep a matte dark brown shade (I used the one in the Sleek palette) on the outer V to define the eyes. Blend well. Now, apply the same shade on the outer lower lashline and blend again.
- Line your upper lid with a dark chocolate brown (I used Michael Todd Gel Eyeliner in Chocolate Creme) and apply mascara.
- On your face, apply your usual foundation (I used YSL Teint Singulier Sheer Powdercreme Veil Foundation in no.5) and then concealer (I used Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer in Porcelain) to cover dark circles or any other imperfection you may have.
- Sweep a peachy pink blush with gold shimmers (I used Milani Luminous) on the cheeks and highlight the cheekbones, middle of the nose and chin with a white highlighter (I used the white shade in the Wet n Wild Cover All Concealer Palette).
- Set everything with powder (I used Fyrinnae Finishing Powder Oil Control)
- Sweep a sheer pink gloss (I used Eyeko London Lips in Portobello) on your lips and you’ve done!

Name: Pastel Polish
Brand: Eyeko
Size: 8.5ml
Price: £3.50

From Eyeko’s website:
Dream of blue skies with this pretty baby blue shade shot with iridescent shimmer. Layer up for an opaque nail look or wear it sheer for a hint of a tint.

What I liked:
- beautiful pastel baby blue color
- good color payoff
- not streaky
- the packaging
- the price

What I didn’t like:
- formula is thick and a bit tricky to apply
- takes a bit longer than other Eyeko polishes to dry

As you know, I’m a fan of Eyeko nail polishes. They have some beautiful colors, are packaged in cute little bottles and they are cheap. The latest shade I had the chance to try is Pastel Polish, for nice nails. Pastel Polish is a pastel baby blue shade with just a hint of shimmer, which makes this ordinary shade look interesting.

Most Eyeko polishes have a wonderful formula that applies very easily but sometimes you stumble onto a shade that’s tricky to work with. Sadly, this was the case with Pastel. Its formula is quite thick so you have to be careful with application and make sure you don’t use too much product (but not too little either) in one stroke otherwise it becomes difficult to apply. Once you figured out the right amount of product to use for each nail, application goes more smoothly though.

Because of the thickness, Pastel takes a bit more time than most Eyeko nail polishes I’ve tried to dry. However, drying time is still very reasonable. As for the color payoff, that’s quite good. One coat is sheer and gives nail just a little hint of color while two provide opaque coverage that lasts about 4 days before starting to chip.

Available at: http://www.eyeko.com

Summary
Eyeko Pastel Polish is a beautiful pastel baby blue shade with a hint of shimmer. It provides opaque coverage in two coats and the formula, while not streaky, is thick and tricky to apply. It lasts four days without chipping but it takes slightly longer than most Eyeko polishes to dry.

Rating: 3.5/5

Name: London Lips in Portobello
Brand: Eyeko
Size: 13.5g
Price: £6.50

From Eyeko’s website:
Make way for Eyeko London Lips Lip Gloss poured into pretty tubes stamped with iconic London images. Long-lasting colour and non-stick shine make for smooth application in a choice of 3 sheer and 3 cream blends.

What I liked:
- beautiful sheer and shiny color
- easy to apply
- lasts 3 hours on me
- the packaging
- the price

What I didn’t like:
- if you like pigmented lipglosses, this is not for you
- if you have dry lips, you need to wear a lip balm underneath

Eyeko has just released a new lipgloss line called London Lips. They are packaged in a simple see-through tube with symbols of London – such as the Big Ben, the UK flag, the double-decker bus and of course, the Eyeko logo, stamped all over it. I really liked how they managed to spice up and make pretty such an ordinary plastic tube! But what about the lipgloss itself?

Available in six shades, I had the chance to try Portobello, a sheer pink infused with gold shimmers that has a very shiny finish. It is a beautiful, no-fuss color that can be paired with everything and always looks good. You just swipe it on and you’re good to go.

It has a thick texture that is easy to apply and spread on the lips and it’s just a tiny little bit sticky. I think even girls who can’t stand sticky glosses would like this, as really, the stickiness is just barely noticeable. It feels quite comfortable on and although it’s not the most moisturizing gloss I’ve tried, that can be fixed by applying a layer of lip balm underneath.

On me, it lasts about 3 hours if I don’t eat which I think it’s quite impressive for a gloss. Most usually barely last 2 hours before completely disappearing! I also like the scent: it’s fruity and sweet but not overly so. It’s not strong and you can’t smell it once on the lips.

Available at: www.eyeko.com and asos.com

Summary
Eyeko London Lips in Portobello is a sheer pink gloss with golden flecks that make your lips shine. The texture is thick and just barely, barely sticky but not that moisturizing so using a lip balm with this is necessary. It lasts 3 hours on me, smells wonderful and the packaging is cute.

Rating: 3.5/5

Eyeko, the cutest UK makeup brand, has recently released some very interesting products..

If you’re a fan of the famous Eyeko 3 in 1 cream, you’re gonna love the LE Eyeko Cream with Extra Glow (£8.00). The cute pink cream has all the benefits of the 3 in 1 cream, but in addition it is loaded with micro light-reflecting silver pigments that will highlight your complexion by creating a beautiful and soft sheen.

Eyeko has also released two new nail polish shades and they’re beautiful. My favourite is Punk Polish, a bright neon pink. It may not be the most original shade but I’m a sucker for all pinks, especially when they are so intense. The other new shade is Chi Chi, a baby pink polish with pink glitter glitters for nails that are girly but not juvenile.

Both polishes retail at £3.50 each and can be bought, like the Cream with Extra Glow, on the Eyeko website.
