For the holiday season, Bobbi Brown has added a very festive Shimmer Brick to their iconic collection. Bobbi Brown Party Shimmer Brick contains a shimmering combo of silver and gold that promises to brighten skin, giving it an instant glow. That’s a very interesting combination that really intrigues me but it’s not the only reason why I’d love to try it. What’s really cool about the Party Shimmer Brick is the beautiful design imprinted on the powder. The cocktail shaker and glass are really cute and bound to get you in a festive mood, don’t you think?

The Bobbi Brown Party Shimmer Brick retails at $40 and is available on bobbibrown.com. Are you going to try it?

Hello everyone,

do you like pigments? I’ve always loved them but I’ve been neglecting them lately. They can be a bit messy to apply and because the weather is so cold and I tend to spend more time that I should in my cozy back in the mornings, I’ve been doing mostly simple and quick looks with pressed eyeshadows. But a couple of days ago I decided that it was time to give my pigments some love and this is what came out. It’s a wearable look with some pop of color and it takes only a few minutes to do. Let me know what you think of it!

Directions:
- Start by applying an eyeshadow primer to your eyes (I used Too Faced Shadow Insurance) to help makeup stay put all day and improve the color payoff of the eyeshadows.
– Apply Fyrinnae’s Pixie Epoxy (if you don’t have, you can skip this step) on the lid to make the colors really pop.
- Sweep a light orange shade (I used BFTE eyeshadow in Tangerine) on the lid.
- Apply a golden brown shade (I used Formula D eyeshadow in Golden Bear) on the crease and blend.
- Sweep a pale pink shade (I used Formula D eyeshadow in Kaleidoscope) on the browbone to highlight. Apply the same shade on the inner corners of the eyes. This will open up the eyes.
- Line your lid with a brown pencil liner (I used Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Whiskey).
- Now it’s time to apply color on the lower lashline. Sweep an aqua shade (I used Barry M Dazzle Dust in #15 Aqua) in that area and then apply mascara.
- On your face, apply your usual foundation (I used YSL Teint Singulier Sheer Powdercreme Veil Foundation in no.5) and then concealer (I used Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer in Porcelain) to cover dark circles or any other imperfection you may have.
- Sweep an orangey blush with gold shimmers (I used Paul & Joe Disney Face Color Ball in 001 Fantastic Orange) on your cheeks and highlight the cheekbones, middle of the nose and chin with a white highlighter (I used the white shade in the Wet n Wild Cover All Concealer Palette).
- Apply a coral lipstick (I used Michael Todd Creme Lipstick in Pumpkin) on your lips.

Name: Creamy Concealer
Brand: Bobbi Brown
Size:1.7g
Price:€26,00

From Bobbi Brown’s website:
Bobbi shares her favorite makeup artist tip – a yellow-based concealer that instantly camouflages dark circles. The creamy consistency ensures that it goes on smoothly, providing full, but natural looking coverage.

What I liked:
- available in lots of shades
- good, medium to full coverage
- natural finish
- covers dark circles and other imperfections well
- creamy texture is moisturizing and blends well
- doesn’t settle in fine lines
- longlasting

What I didn’t like:
- pot is tiny
- mirror included is too small to be useful
- the price

I have very pale skin and horrible, very dark circles so for me, to find a good concealer is almost a mission impossible. A few of my blogger friends have recommended me to try Bobbi Brown concealers but alas, the brand isn’t available in Italy *sighs*. So, when my boyfriend went to Germany last summer, I asked him to stop at the Bobbi Brown counter and get their Creamy Concealer for me. He kindly obliged, but when he heard the price, he almost walked away empty-handed! He thought I was crazy to pay so much for a little pot and that I had been ripped off! lol.

It is a very expensive concealer indeed and the pot is tiny (and comes with a small, useless mirror), which may put some people off but you need so little that it’ll easily last for several months to a year and the quality is amazing! And I love that it is available in 14 shades, all yellow based as Bobbi believes there’s nothing better than that to cover dark circles, so that everyone will be able to find a good match for their skintone. They even make one that’s light enough for me!

The shade I got is Porcelain, the lightest shade available, which is yellow-based but also has some pink tones in it and works extremely well on very pale skintones. It has a very creamy, not too thick but not too thin either consistency that goes on smoothly and is very easy to blend. It provides medium to full coverage so less is more with this concealer. The finish though is natural and looks like you have nothing on.

You can either apply it with a brush, which picks up more product and provides full coverage, or with your fingers for a lighter application. Personally, I dab it on with a concealer brush and then blend it with my fingers and I’m very impressed with the results: it just completely covers my dark circles and every other imperfection I have on my skin without looking cakey or settling into fine lines! Its texture is quite moisturizing and not drying at all so it suitable for mature skin too. It lasts about 7 hours on me if I use it alone, but once I set it with powder, it’ll stay put all day.

Now, what am I gonna do when I run out of this?! Thank goodness, that doesn’t look like it’ll happen any time soon..

Available at: bobbibrowncosmetics.com, Nordstrom

Summary
Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer is a yellow-based concealer with a creamy and moisturizing texture that provides medium to full coverage. It does a fantastic job at covering dark circles, blemishes and other imperfections, while giving skin a natural and flawless finish that lasts for hours. It is available in 14 shades but the pot is tiny and the price expensive.

Rating: 4.5/5

Directions:
- Apply an eyeshadow primer (I used Too Faced Shadow Insurance) all over the lid to make the eyeshadows stay put all day.
– Apply Fyrinnae’s Pixie Epoxy (if you don’t have, you can skip this step) on the lid to make the colors really pop.
- Apply a pale beige shade (I used the one in the Sleek Safari palette) on the browbone to highlight. Using a pencil brush, apply the same shade on the inner corner of the eyes, above the tearduct. This will open up your eyes.
- Apply a deep yellow shade (I used the one in the Sleek Safari palette) on the lid. Using a pencil brush, sweep the same shade on the inner lower lashline as well.
- Sweep a dark forest green (I used the one in the Sleek Safari palette) on the crease. This will act as a base for the next color we’re gonna apply on top and make it pop more.
- But first, apply a chocolate brown shade (I used the one in the Sleek Safari palette) on the outer V to intensify the look and on the lower lashline. Blend well.
- Now, sweep a bright medium green (I used the one in the Sleek Safari palette) on the crease on top of the dark green we previously applied. Also, sweep it on the lower lashline above the brown you placed them previously.
- Now, sweep a pale brown (I used the one in the Sleek Safari palette) between the crease and the browbone to soften the edges and help the colors blend more naturally.
- Apply an olive green eyeliner (I used Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Mildew) on the waterline.
- Line your lid with a black pencil liner (I used Pupa True Eyes Eyeliner) and apply mascara.
- On your face, apply your usual foundation (I used YSL Teint Singulier Sheer Powdercreme Veil Foundation in no.5) and then concealer (I used Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer in Porcelain) to cover dark circles or any other imperfection you may have.
- Sweep a pinky peach blush with gold shimmers (I used Milani Minerals Blush in Luminuous) on your cheeks and highlight the cheekbones, middle of the nose and chin with a white highlighter (I used the white shade in the Wet n Wild Cover All Concealer Palette).
- Sweep a pigmented antique rose lipstick (I used Sleek True Colour Lipstick in Rose Petal) on your lips and you’re done!

no, I know it’s not Christmas (in fact, it’s the last day of the holidays today, how fast they flew by!) and no, I didn’t spend it at the circus. I just wanted to show you a look I did during the holiday season with the Sleek Circus palette. I decided to use green and red, which are very festive shades, although I’m not sure the look I created with them was very Christmassy. It’s definitely a fun look though and I hope you’ll like it:

- Next, place a yellowish green (I used the one in the Sleek Circus palette) on the middle of the lid and blend where it meets with the white shade.
- Sweep a not too bright red shade (I used the one in the Sleek Circus palette) on the outer part of the lid and into the crease. Blend well.
- Highlight the browbone by sweeping a pale yellow shade (I used the one in the Sleek Original palette) on that area.
- Darken the outer V by using a black shade (I used the one in the Sleek Circus palette). Place just the smallest amount of black in that area with a pencil brush and then blending it using a blending brush till all the harsh edges have softened.
- Sweep a dark purple shade (I used the one in the Sleek Circus palette) on the lower lashline.
- Line your upper lid with a black eyeliner (I used Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Zero) and apply mascara.
- On your face, apply your usual foundation (I used YSL Teint Singulier Sheer Powdercreme Veil Foundation in no.5) and then concealer (I used Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer in Porcelain) to cover dark circles or any other imperfection you may have.

Hello everyone,

as you know I’m reviewing a few products from the Estee Lauder Pure Color Extravagant holiday collection at the moment, so I’ve been wearing them a lot lately to test how well they perform and last. So, I thought it’d be nice to share with you all one of the looks I did with them.

On my eyes, I used the Eyeshadow Palette in Extravagant Gold. At the event I attended, we were told to use the colors diagonally, three at a time, but I decided to just use them all in this look. It’s more fun that way, isn’t it? I wanted the lips to be shiny but natural so I used two of the shades in the Lips Palette 01 Extravagant, which are sheer.

I know this look, is not really natural nor extravagant but it is for me, since I usually wear much bolder and colorful looks. Yes, I’m not very creative when it comes to naming looks I’m afraid but I still hope you like the look. Let me know what you think of it!

- Estee Lauder Pure Color Lips Palette 01 Extravagant

Directions:
- Apply an eyeshadow primer (I used Too Faced Shadow Insurance) all over the lid to make the eyeshadows stay put all day.
- Apply a gold shade (I used the one in the Estee Lauder Pure Color Eyeshadow Palette in Extravagant Gold) on the inner part of the lid. Sweep the same shade on the lower lashline as well.
- Apply a reddish brown shade (I used the one in the Estee Lauder Pure Color Eyeshadow Palette in Extravagant Gold) on the outer part of the lid and blend where it meets with the gold.
- Now, sweep a medium brown shade (I used the one in the Estee Lauder Pure Color Eyeshadow Palette in Extravagant Gold) on the crease and blend well. You don’t want any harsh lines. Apply the same shade on the lower lashline and blend where it meets with the gold.
- Apply a dark brown matte shade (I used the one in the Estee Lauder Pure Color Eyeshadow Palette in Extravagant Gold) on the outer corner to darken the color there. Blend well.
- Sweep a pearly cream beige (I used the one in the Estee Lauder Pure Color Eyeshadow Palette in Extravagant Gold) on the browbone to highlight.
- Line your upper lid (but not all the way, only till the middle of the lid) with a brown liquid eyeliner (I used Estee Lauder Double Wear Liquid Eyeliner in Brown). This will define your eyes in a more natural way than a harsh color like black would do. Apply mascara.
- On your face, apply your usual foundation (I used YSL Teint Singulier Sheer Powdercreme Veil Foundation in no.5) and then concealer (I used Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer in Porcelain) to cover dark circles or any other imperfection you may have.
- Sweep a peachy pink blush with gold shimmers (I used Sleek Blush in Rose Gold) on the cheeks and highlight the cheekbones, middle of the nose and chin with a white highlighter (I used the white shade in the Wet n Wild Cover All Concealer Palette).
- On my lips, I mixed the gold and orange shades, both of which are sheer, from the Estee Lauder Pure Color Lips Palette 01 Extravagant lip palette.
