Fall 2008 makeup trends

Even though we’re still in summer, fall collections have already started popping up and many are already available, so it’s time to start thinking about what we will be wearing in the fall. Here are the trends for the season:

EARTHY EYESHADOW TONES: the shades that will be popular this fall are greens, grays and browns. Instead blues, reds, oranges and yellows should be avoided.

STRONG EYEBROWS: strong eyebrows were popular last year and continue to big in 2008. So, don’t over-pluck your eyebrows. Let them grow back and groom them into a shape that suits your face.

GOLD: gold will be a very popular color this season, especially for eyes and nails.

LIPS: this fall light and natural shades of pink, peach and brown will be popular and so will dark lips.

CHEEKS: if you have never contoured your cheeks, now it’s the time to start. Contoured cheeks will be very popular in the upcoming season. Choose light, natural shades for a subtle effect.

EYELINER: don’t overdo with eyeliner but wear a very think line. Use brown or gray shades.

Summer 2008 make up trends

Summer is almost here, but what are the hottest looks for this season? Read on to find out:

BRIGHT COLORS: This summer everything will be colorful and bright: lipsticks, mascaras, eyeliners and eyeshadows.

NATURAL: That’s the classic nude barely-there make up look. Use brown and pink shades for lips and cheeks and brown eyeshadows, mascara and liner to achieve this look.

STRONG EYEBROWS: Eyebrows should be well-defined and as black as possible.

LIPS: The hottest lip shades this summer are red, pink, corals and nude colors.

CHEEKS: Cheeks must be shiny. Use pastel pinks and peaches shades to achieve that fresh natural look.

EYES: This summer all colours of bright eyes pencils are very popular. But if you don’t feel like wearing bright colors you can always opt for the classic smokey eye. With this look, eyes must be heavily mascaraed with lots of liner.
