What makeup look would you wear to a job interview?

Beautiful with brains says: I think soft and understated is always best. I’d opt either for gold/bronzy or delicate pink hues for the eyes, just a hint of a pale pink blusher so that it looks like I’m naturally blushing and a soft pink lipstick. If it’s an interview for a job in which you can get away with wearing more colorful looks, then I’d add a pop of green or purple eyeliner.

Have you ever tried nail art?

Beautiful with brains says: do nail stickers count? I’ve tried those but I always make a mess when trying to apply them so I’ve given up. I’d love to do a proper nail art, but I lack both the skills and the patience for it!

How often do you change your skincare routine?

Beautiful with brains says: although I’m pretty adventurous with makeup, when it comes to skincare products I like to stick to what I know works. I also don’t change products throughout the year as my skin doesn’t change that much with the seasons really. I do try different skincare products from time to time, but they are mostly samples sent for review.

Which beauty products should men use more often?

Beautiful with brains says: taking for granted the basics such as shampoos and body washes which I hope everyone uses lol, I’d say sunscreen and conditioner. I really have a hard time convincing my father, boyfriend and male friends that you need to wear sunscreen every day and not just at the beach. My boyfriend is also convinced that conditioner is something only women need and it’s no use pointing out how dry his hair is because he doesn’t use it..

What was the last beauty product you threw away?

Beautiful with brains says: a colored mascara from Layla that had expired.

Do you use a lip primer?

Beautiful with brains says: nope. I tried Pop Beauty Lip Magnet Primer a couple of years ago, but it was only average and did pretty much what a lip liner would do, so I’d rather use that instead.

Do you layer nail polishes?

Beautiful with brains says: nope, I’m too lazy lol. I love nail polish but I hate applying it. It’s so boring and time-consuming waiting for a coat to dry before applying another and if a nail polish requires more than one, I’ll use it rarely. So for me to layer polishes, I would have to fall in love with an amazing glittering or shimmering top coat that would make the extra time worth the hassle lol.

Do you stock up beauty products during sales?

Beautiful with brains says: only body care and hair care products that have become my staples and that thus I use often. I may buy another tube of my fave skincare products too if the deal is particularly good and I’m sure I’m gonna get to use it before it expires. Instead, I never stock up on makeup as I can never finish what I have already so getting more would just be a waste of money.
