Wanted! Bond no.9 High Line Fragrance

Posted by beautifulwithbrains | March 9, 2010.

Is it bad that I want Bond no.9 High Line Fragrance just for the pretty bottle? Just like the fragrance, the beautiful bottle, decorated with grass and fuchsia tulip buds that spring from gunmetal grey rail tracks, is inspired by New York’s newest Park High Line, a former rail that hovers 30 feet above street level.

The scent itself, a floral-marine blend, sounds really intriguing too. It opens with purple love grass mixed with citrusy bergamot and zesty Indian rhubarb, has a floral heart of red-leaf rose, Lady Jane tulips, and grape hyacinth, while the lingering base notes combine bur oak with sea moss, musk and teakwood.

Bond no.9’s High Line is sold at their four New York stores, Saks Fifth Avenue, and at bondno9.com and retails at $220 for 100ml and $145 for 50ml. 4% of the proceeds will be donated to Friends of the High Line association to take care of the needs of the park.

Wanted! Make Up For Ever HD Microfinish Blush

Posted by beautifulwithbrains | March 1, 2010.

Make Up For Ever have recently launched a new addition to their family of HD products: a HD blush.

HD Microfinish blush ($25.00) is a creamy product that combines mattifying and reflecting powders to give cheeks a healthy glow. The blush is available in 14 shades, ranging from pinks to browns, to plum to apricot.

I’ve never tried anything like this, so I’m very interested in finding out how well it performs. Plus, I’m really digging the packaging. Not only it looks sleek and professional but it’s also sanitary and you won’t risk contaminating the blush every time you apply it.

What do you think of MUFE HD blush?

Wanted! Estee Lauder Love Your Lips Collection

Posted by beautifulwithbrains | February 8, 2010.

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Estee Lauder is releasing Love your lips collection, featuring 12 Signature Hydra Lustre Lipstick shades ($19.50 each) and 4 new Kissable Lip Gloss shades ($18.00 each).

The color selection ranges from pinks to corals, reds to mauves so you’ll be sure to find something you love to give your lips a beautiful, seductive look.

And each lippie and gloss comes with a little love message. The lipsticks have the word “L♥VE” engraved on them and the same word decorates the packaging of the lipglosses. Isn’t that too cute?

New Product: Barry M Lip Lacquer Crayons

Posted by beautifulwithbrains | January 13, 2010.

Whenever Barry M releases a new product, I can’t help but get all excited about it and this time it’s no different. Just look at those chubby lip pencils. Aren’t they cute?

Called Lip Lacquer Crayons (£4.95 each), these pencil glide on smoothly on the lips, giving them an intense color with a shiny and glossy finish. So far, they are available in 5 bright shades: Scarlett Red, Cherry Red, Mandarin, Party Pink and Ballet Pink.

Check out Barry M’s blog for swatches of all the pencils. Aren’t they all gorgeous? My favourite is Party Pink, a bright fuchsia shade, but I’m also digging Ballet Pink, a pale icy pink and Cherry Red. What about you?

You can buy the Lip Lacquer Crayons now on the Barry M’s website or wait till 27th January when they’ll become available in Superdrug stores throughout the UK.
