So, let’s talk about eyeshadow blending. You know, that obscure art makeup artists and Youtube gurus practice effortlessly, but the rest of us has no idea how to master.
Like, have you ever tried to create a seamless gradient, but made a harsh, jagged blur instead? So frustrating!
It happened to me all the time, until I accidentally stumbled onto this trick:
Hold the brush at the end.
I used to hold the brush at the ferrule (you know, that metal part near the bristles), like a pen. Isn’t it what everyone does?
But, when we do that, we apply way too much pressure on the the head. The result is an ugly mess. When we hold it at the end, instead, the pressure is relieved, and the brush effortlessly glides on our lids, creating a beautiful and diffused gradient.
How do you hold your makeup brushes?
