Product Review: Senna Powder Point 33 Brush

senna powder point 33

Name: Powder Point 33 Brush
Brand: Senna
Price: ($38.00)

From Senna’s website:
Luxe full, soft tip brush sweeps face powders and bronzers smoothly over the face, reaching every spot. Natural hair.

What I liked:
– soft bristles, don’t scratch skin
– the pointed tips allows better control and precision
– because the brush doesn’t pick up too much product, it’s difficult to make mistakes
– can be used both to contour and highlight
– bristles don’t shed nor bleed
– natural bristles

What I didn’t like:
– some people may not like that the brush is made with natural bristles

Bronzers can be tricky to apply even for seasoned professionals, let alone beginners. You first need to find a shade that’s suitable for your skin tone, and then you must choose the right brush. Without it, you’ll never get a flawless look. I’ve always used angled face brushes, which do a great job, but I’ve recently found something that works even better: Senna Powder Point 33 Brush.

What’s so special about this brush? Its shape. It’s a tapered brush with chiseled sides and a pointed tip. Think MAC 138 Tapered Face Brush, only cheaper (I’ve only seen that brush in store, so I don’t know how it performs, but the shape is pretty much the same). Senna Powder Point 33 Brush has natural bristles that are fairly dense and feel so soft against the skin.

The brush doesn’t pick up too much product, which means that application will take that little big longer, but also that you have more control over it, so the result looks very natural. It’s very difficult to overdo bronzer when you use this brush, which makes it ideal for newbies. The brush fits perfectly into the hollows of your cheeks, making contouring easier.

The tip of the brush can also be used to apply highlighter. Again, it deposits colour really lightly on the skin, which gives you both control and precision. And did I mention that the bristles neither shed nor bleed? I’ve washed the bristles only a couple of times so far, and the bristles went back to their original shape, and were just as soft as before. Plus, isn’t the aqua handle a lovely touch? It makes the brush look professional, but not boring.

Senna Powder Point 33 Brush is a tapered face brush with chiseled sides and a pointed tip that fits perfectly into the hollows of your cheeks. The firm, soft bristles don’t pick up too much product, which allows for a more precise and natural application. The brush can be used to apply bronzers, face powders and highlighters, but some people may dislike that it’s made with natural bristles.

Monica, I love its shape. It makes application easier to control and more precise.

I prefer natural bristles too. Although synthetic bristles have improved a lot lately, natural still work best imo.
