Name: High Beam
Brand: Benefit
Size: 13ml
Price: $26.00

From Benefit’s website:
Our satiny pink liquid highlighter accents cheek & brow bones for a radiant glow. Use as a spot highlighter or delicately blend all over your complexion. Looks perfectly radiant on all skintones. It’s the “supermodel in a bottle”!

What I liked:
- it provides a subtle sheen that perks up skin in a very natural way
- easy to apply and blend
- longlasting
- suitable for most skintones
- packaging is travel-friendly

What I didn’t like:
- may be too subtle for some people
- may look silvery on darker skintones
- packaging isn’t hygienic

Packaged in a cute, travel-friendly but not very hygienic bottle with a brush applicator in the cap, Benefit High Beam looks like a nail polish, but it’s not meant to be applied on the nails. The satiny light pink liquid housed inside is a beautiful highlighter that brightens the complexion, giving it a natural glowy look.

High Beam can be applied only on those areas where the sun hits your face (chin, cheekbones, forehead, bridge of the nose and cupid’s bow) or mixed with your foundation (for this purpose, it’s a great alternative to MAC Strobe Cream) to give an overall glow to your complexion. And you don’t have to worry about it turning your face into a disco ball.

High Beam doesn’t contain any shimmers nor glitters, but instead provides a nice radiant sheen that’s really subtle (maybe too subtle for some people) and is hardly noticeable unless the light directly hits it. Thus, the finish is very natural, yet it instantly perks up the complexion, making you look brighter, fresher and more awake for the entire day.

It’s easy to blend with both brushes and fingers and, because you need only a tiny amount, it will last you for a very long time. And although it looks more flattering on pale princesses, it also complements a tan nicely. If you have dark instead, instead, you may want to opt for Moon Beam, an apricot golden highlighter that would be more suitable for your colouring.

Available at: benefitcosmetics.com, sephora.com and ulta.com

Summary
Benefit High Beam really makes your complexion beam. This longlasting, satiny pink highlighter, which is suitable for most skintones, blends easily and provides a subtle sheen that brightens the complexion in a very natural way. However, some people may find it too subtle and the packaging, although travel-friendly, is not very hygienic.

Rating: 4/5

Hmm, I haven’t tried this since I have NARS’ Copacabana, Clarin’s Instant Light, and some highlighter powders.
While I love to play with makeup, I try not to buy too much since I am quite a minimal wearer of it.
It looks very pretty though. :D I’m still searching for that holiday dress! I’m determined to find a perfect dress. I don’t very many dresses.
My whole wardrobe doesn’t match because I mostly buy clothes not to match but because they’re one-of-a-kind or look best in a certain (not neutral) color.
Gio, I’m determined to dye my hair! I’ve wanted to for a few years and I still have a whole life time to donate my hair if I wanted to. There’s so many ways to give back to others anyways.

I’ll be really busy til the end of next week when I turn in my application for school. I will still comment though but don’t feel discouraged one bit if you don’t see as much spam haha. I will catch up on all of your posts because I truly love them and they are worth my time.

Janessa, there is no point in hoarding products if you’re not going to use them. You can always try High Beam (if you want to, that is) when you’ve run out of one of your other highlighters. It’s permanent anyway so there’s no rush.

I hope you’ll find a wonderful holiday dress. Actually, I’m sure you will. And I often have the same problem with clothes! lol. And I’d love to see your new colour once you’ve dyed your hair!

They’re not spam hun, I love reading them but school is more important of course! Try to take it easy and don’t stress too much. *hugs*
