Product Review: Sleek Makeup Face Form in Light

Name: Face Form in Light
Brand: Sleek Makeup
Size: 20g
Price: £8.99

From the packaging:
Instantly add definition and colour to the face by using Face Form. Apply the contouring powder to areas on the face to create a shadow effect hence sculpting and defining the face. Then apply the highlighter on areas that you wish to reflect light off the face hence enhancing the contouring effect. Finish off the look by applying the blusher to the apple of cheeks.

What I liked:
– all products have good colour payoff
– soft texture, not chalky
– all the products are easy to apply and blend
– used together, the product make it easy to achieve that beautiful sculpted look
– longlasting
– the packaging
– the price

What I didn’t like:
– because the shades are very pigmented, you need to be careful with application

Blush or bronzer? Both. They, together with highlighter, are a team. When used together, they can transform your face and enhance your natural beauty by playing up your features and downplaying your flaws. Now, Sleek Makeup has enclosed all these products in a convenient and stylish black palette that you can easily carry around with you everywhere.

The ultimate contour kit, Face Form is available in four shades: Fair and Light, which feature a contouring powder, a highlighting powder and the Rose Gold Blush, and Medium and Dark, which include a contouring powder, highlighter and bronzer to apply on the cheeks to enhance the complexion. The one I have is Light, which is just perfect for my pale skintone.

The contouring powder is a pale tan brown shade with a matte finish that provides a nice contouring effect. It sculpts the cheekbones, brow bones, nose and jaw line, adding the right amount of colour without looking muddy. It needs to be used with a light hand though as it is quite pigmented.

The highlighter is a cream shade with a slightly satin finish and good colour payoff. It is pretty much the same colour as my skin, which is why it didn’t show up too well in the swatch above, and provides a subtle glow to the upper cheekbones, hollow of the chin and length of the nose.

Finish the look with the blush in Rose Gold, a stunning warm peachy pink shade with gold shimmers, which I have already reviewed here. This is one of my favourite blushes ever (and one of Sleek Makeup’s best-selling shades) as it provides a beautiful and glowy pop of colour to the cheeks. However, pale-skinned beauties need to apply it carefully and sparingly as it is incredibly pigmented.

All three shades have a very soft and smooth texture that’s neither chalky nor powdery. They’re easy to apply and blend like a dream. Once on, they all stay put for the entire day. Overall, this palette is a must for every girl who wants to achieve that beautiful sculpted supermodel look. At £8.99, it is also a great deal. All three powders are quite big so they will last you for ages.

Available at: and Superdrug stores throughout the UK

Sleek Makeup Face Form in Light features a matte brown bronzer to sculpt the face, a cream highlighter to add a beautiful glow to your features and a warm peachy pink blush with gold shimmers to give a pop of colour to the cheeks. The result, is a beautiful sculpted look that enhances your complexion and natural beauty. All products are very pigmented, so need to be used with a light hand, soft to the touch and longlasting.

Makeup Morsels, I wish Sleek was available in shops too. It’d be much easier to get their stuff. The highlighter is beautiful indeed and provides a lovely, subtle glow.

Marina, I agree. It’s very convenient to have a bronzer, a highlighter and a blush in one palette.

Ahh, I still haven’t bought any sleek makeup yet! 😮 I will get them for Christmas without a doubt but now that all these Christmas gift sets are coming out, I want them! I couldn’t believe that Benefit had SugarBomb in a gift set at Sephora! That’s on my wishlist along with the Tarte blush set.

I like the look of bronzer and blush together, but not bronzer alone on my skin. Otherwise, it looks too unnatural if I wanted heavier contouring and if I do subtle contouring, it’s well… too subtle. 😀 I feel like I’m cheating (because I don’t really look like that haha) when I contour for daily purposes and it takes too long to make it look natural against my pale skin. In the mornings, I just swipe on some blush and curl my lashes then apply some gloss, lipstick, or both.

Janessa, you should drop hints to your loved ones to get some of the sets for Christmas. There are just so many intriguing ones out there at the moment that it’s so hard to choose. 😉

I know what you mean. I contour only on special occasions or when I’m going for a particular, chiselled look (which is not often). If you have pale skin then the bronzer in this set or the Suede Blush (by Sleek too and my favourite) will work very well for you. They’re not too dirty, too orange or too muddy and it’s quite easy to get a chiselled look that looks natural with them.
