Name: Ultra Last Lipwear in Fragile Pink
Brand: NYC

Price: €2,99

From NYC’s website:
Re-apply? Who has the time?! NYC New York Color Ultra Last LipWear is wearable, ultra lasting and stays on up to 6 hours. Perfect for your morning meetings and all-night parties. The rich, silky formula is so creamy and comfortable.

What I liked:
– beautiful and subtle pink colour
– semi-sheer but buildable
– creamy texture, glides on smoothly
– the price

What I didn’t like:
– some people may not like the frosty finish
– not moisturizing
– doesn’t last very long on the lips

I don’t expect drugstore lipsticks to be particularly longlasting, but when a brand calls theirs Ultra Last, then I do expect the staying power to be more than average, which on my lips is about an hour and a half. Sadly, NYC Ultra Last Lipwear only hangs around for one hour, less if you drink or eat. Bummer!

And that’s not the only drawback. While the texture is quite creamy and the lipstick glides on smoothly, it is not moisturizing at all. It doesn’t dry my lips but, without a layer of lip balm underneath, it doesn’t feel too comfortable either. Because of this, I wouldn’t really recommend it to those with dry and chapped lips.

The colour, though, is gorgeous. Fragile Pink is a delicate, semi-sheer but easily buildable pink with silver shimmers that give it a frosty finish. I was afraid such a pale, frosty shade would look awful against my pale skin, but instead it is quite flattering. The lipstick given them a soft wash of colour and a bit of shine, which is perfect for daytime looks.

NYC Ultra Last Lipwear in Fragile Pink is a delicate, semi-sheer pink shade with a frosty finish. The creamy texture glides on smoothly but doesn’t moisturize lips. And the staying power is very disappointing too.

Vonvon, I think the frostiness is more obvious in real life, but it is not over the top, which makes this shade so wearable. :)

Trisha, it looks lovely on the lips, but if you’re not into frosty lipsticks, then I don’t think you will like this. :)

If it doesn’t last long, it can’t be mine! I eat my lips I think hahaha. Regular lipsticks never last 4 hours on me. Long wearing lipsticks are lucky to make past 3. I snack really often though so that could be why and when I do eat, I probably get food on my lips too.

Janessa, I’m the same. Lipstick lasts very little time on me too. I heard some people say lipstick should last 3 or 4 hours on average but I’m lucky if they last two on me! I started snacking less often but the staying power of my lip products hasn’t improved. Mmm..

I did put on a super sticky gloss once that was supposed to last several hours and just sitting on my bed with my laptop and water, it was nearly gone after 2 hours. 😮
