Name: Perfect Moisture Lipstick in Flirty Fuchsia
Brand: Isadora
Size: 4gr
Price: €17.99

From Isadora’s website:
– Richly pigmented
– Moisturizing and conditioning
– Long lasting
– Recommended for dry and chapped lips

What I liked:
- very pigmented
- longlasting
- doesn’t bleed
- available in a mini size too

What I didn’t like:
- texture is drying and doesn’t glide on smoothly
- boring packaging

I haven’t tried the other lipsticks in this range, so I can’t say if this applies to all of them or just to the shade I have, Flirty Fuchsia, but Perfect Moisture Lipstick is not really a fitting name for it. No Moisture Lipstick would be more appropriate, actually. To wear this shade, you do need to apply either a layer of lip balm underneath or a moisturizing gloss on top because not only Flirty Fuchsia is not moisturizing, but it feels quite drying on the lips too.

The drying texture also means that the lipstick doesn’t exactly glide on smoothly on the lips, so I recommend you use a lip brush for a more precise and even application. However, this lipstick isn’t that bad really. I believe its drying texture is due to its intense pigmentation. Flirty Fuchsia is a vibrant and bright fuchsia shade with a slight shiny finish and amazing color payoff that’s opaque in just one coat.

It’s a beautiful shade but one that’s not easy to wear. I like to tone down the rest of my makeup when I wear it, and pair it with a soft neutral eye or even just a mascara and a thin line of black eyeliner on the upper lashline. If it’s still too bright for you, you can apply it by just gently patting it on with your fingers so that it will look like a stain on the lips or apply a gloss on top.

Flirty Fuchsia is also very longlasting. It stays put about 5 hours on me, if I don’t eat or drink, before it starts to fade into a stain. If I have a light meal or snack, the color will still be there afterwards, although faded. However, it won’t survive a proper meal. I also didn’t experience any bleeding. If you like the color, but are still hesitant to give it a try, then you may be happy to know that Isadora also sells a mini size of this lipstick, which contains 2.5gr of product and retails at €8.99.

Available at: apothica.com

Summary
Isadora Perfect Moisture Lipstick in Flirty Fuchsia is a pigmented and bright fuchsia shade with a slight shiny finish that lasts for about 5 hours on the lips. However, the texture is drying and doesn’t apply smoothly. The price is on the expensive side, but there is also a mini size available.

Rating: 3.5/5

Swati, I agree. Pretty shade but not easy to pull off. :)

The pigmentation looks awesome! I have Sea Fleur from L’Oreal (bright blue-toned fuchsia) and it looks quite dark against my skintone. For really bright colors for every-day wear, I don’t mind sheerer color for once. :D What do you suggest for pale-skinned folks who want to wear bright colors like this? I found a muted but still bold color (so not a light pink, peach, or natural lips shade) works best for those times when I just don’t want attention from my bright lipstick.

Janessa, it is very pigmented indeed. And I agree with you about muted bold shades, they are the most flattering because they are bold but usually not over the top. :)

Is a super lovely shade, just my type but the price…wow…18 eur? OMG is way to much even for Isadora which is not a high-end brand like MAC or Illamasqua which have almost the same price when it comes to lipstick.

Tavia, I agree about the price, it’s too high, but then cosmetics are very pricey here. :( At least they also make a cheaper mini version.

How disappointing that it’s not moisturizing. I love the color but my lips are so prone to chapping that I’m sure I can’t wear this one well!

I can see what you mean about precise application. Meh. :D

Chriselle, I don’t think you’ll like it then. It’s a gorgeous shade, but quite drying.
