Are you tired of both sweet floral and fresh, clean scents, but don’t wanna wear something too deep, spicy and heavy either? Then try For Her by Narciso Rodriguez. It’s a musky floral scent with chypre accords that centers on Egyptian musk. If you’re not a fan of musk cos it is animalistic and masculine, then you’ll be happy to know that in this scent it isn’t like that at all. The musk is quite light so it will appeal to most people.
Narciso Rodriguez for her opens with a fresh and sweet burst of white florals and warm musk. The top notes quickly disappear but musk remains. It’s not too heavy and is lightened even more by crispy and fresh orange blossom and osmanthus. Amber and vanilla then make their appearance, making the fragrance sweeter but not overly so. The drydown is dry: a beautiful concoction of vetiver, musky and woody notes. The musk note is stronger now but by no means offensive or masculine.
For Her is powdery and musky, sweet and classy, and very mature. I don’t mean with this to say that it will appeal only to older women, but that it is timeless and sophisticated, not your average overly sweet teen scent. I wouldn’t say it’s very unique but it’s different from most scents on the market and has great staying power too. Spritz it on in the morning and it will last for the entire day.
