Product Review: Layla Bijou Enamel in 107

Name: Bijou Enamel in 107
Brand: Layla
Size: 4.5ml
Price: €5,05

From Layla’s website:
For the first time in the history of hands Make-up we present the format “bijou” of the famous Layla Cosmetics nail polish. The quality is the same … and if you look closely … even the shape of the glass does not change.

What I liked:
– pigmented
– applies easily
– dries fast
– easy to remove
– the packaging
– the price

What I didn’t like:
– thick texture

Layla has selected 48 popular colors from their range, which deserved to become a “bijou” in the lives of their customers, and turned them into little jewels for their nails. Layla Bijou Enamels were born. The shade I have is n.107, a stunning blue, petrol green that’s both fun and elegant. And it dries in just a few minutes, so even those who like me can’t keep their hands still for more than 5 minutes won’t risk ruining their freshly-applied manicure.

The texture is on the thick side and because of this, a bit prone to bubbling, so be careful not to apply too much product to avoid this problem. I also noticed the first coat applied quite streaky, but the second coat quickly and easily solved that problem too. And because it has good color payoff, there is no need to apply a third coat. Staying power is good too. If I don’t wear a top coat, it lasts 4 days on my nails before it starts to chip.

Brittany, I love their nail polishes too. I find most of them have a wonderful texture, but you do find some that are thicker, like this one. The color is gorgeous though.

Again – very nice! Love that sort of colour for nails, though nearly all varnish wears off on me in about 24 hours – constant washing up and laundry I suppose :(

Viv, it’s a beautiful shade, isn’t it? Most nail polishes don’t last longer on me either, but I find that using a good top coat helps. Do you use one?
