Do you buy backups of beauty products?
Beautiful with brains says: nope. I have so much makeup that I rarely finish something, so there’s no point in me getting a backup that I’ll probably never get to use.

The first backup I bought was quite recently – a lip balm. I don’t feel the need to back up, because I’m constantly searching, and I get tired of a product quite quickly… But who knows, this lip balm might be the first in a long row in my drawer

Eli, I’m always searching and trying new products too. Even when I find something amazing, I always think there may be something better out there hehe..
I think it’s that way with all women, and some men as well.
Sophie, I believe you are right.
ditto your answer. i don’t use anything nearly consistently enough to run out and need more of it. well, maybe foundation, that’s it.
Vonnie (socialitedreams)´s last [type] ..Donna Summer – 28 Days of Black Beauty
Vonnie, oh yes, I may buy a backup of foudation too, especially if it was a perfect match that’s being discounted. As for other makeup products, I find it really hard to finish them.
Only chapstick and lotion. We buy LOTs of that. But for makeup, I don’t need backups. Things seem to last for ever! And if it is something that I will go through, like foundation, I would rather go purchase a new bottle, instead of using an old one that I kept around forever.
Eleanor´s last [type] ..Independence Days Challenge: 2-17-2012
Eleanor, makeup products seem to last forever indeed. I guess if I found the perfect foundation shade and it were then discounted, I would buy a backup or two but not more because I wouldn’t wanna use something too old either.
Only lip balm and mascara. I’m always on the look out for my HG mascara so I tend to buy them when they’re on sale and I have coupons!

Eight, an HG mascara is so hard too find. And if it’s on sale, you just have to stock up on it! lol.
I did, but I’ve stopped.
I still have some left over to go through.
Ana, it can be really tempting to buy backups sometimes, especially of items that are LE, isn’t it? It just takes forever to finish them though.
ehhhm, yes, sometimes i actually do buy back usp! but only if i really really really LOVE the product and feel at first sight the great anxiety i would have if this product wasn’t no more!
haha it’s so lame i know but still…..//Azure
Eyegraffiti´s last [type] ..Golden Glittery Eyes
Eyegraffiti, it’s not lame! Some products are really tempting, especially when they are limited edition, that getting a backup can be a good idea. Particularly if you know you are going to use them often.
skincare yes, but makeup, even if i ever have the intention, i never do!
can never run out of stuff to use/ try

Plue, I agree, makeup never seems to run out lol.
I try not to buy backups – I like trying new things! But I have bought some things repeatedly, such as lip balm, mascara, and eyeliner.
kuri´s last [type] ..wait what? bacon and chocolate?
Kuri, I like trying new things all the time. But there are some products we just can’t live without, right?:
Rarely – just occasionally when I KNOW something is ‘just right’ (like my MAC Gem of Roses). I’m very fickle, and always see things I like – I don’t think that there is much that can’t be replicated fairly well. And it’s good to try something new!
Viv, I agree that most things are easily dupable and it’s so much fun to try something new all the time anyway!
I used to, but not anymore…..
I have back up of MAC Marine Life.
And I was so glad I bought a back up of Dior Dentelle eyeshadow palette…the one with lace pattern. Because I could gift that to a friend last Christmas.
