What was the first beauty product you fell in love with?

Beautiful with brains says: Pupa makeup kits. They have the cutest and most adorable packaging and contain everything you need for eyes, cheeks and lips. They’re really the perfect gift for teenagers. Although sadly these days the quality of the products included isn’t as good as it used to be and the eyeshadows in particular tend to be quite sheer.

Same as you, I fell in love with a Pupa pyramid with gold and glitter products inside. When I was a teenager I always wanted one of that beautiful kits, but nobody ever gifted me one until I grew up.

La Bisbetica, Pupa makes beautiful kits, doesn’t it? What a shame you didn’t get them as a teenager, they’re the perfect gifts for girls that age.

Weirdly enough, white eyeliner. I wore it all the time in high school. Just straight white liner like you would black or brown. It actually looked pretty nice and I got a lot of compliments. Now I almost never wear it like that. Perhaps I should bring it back.

Trisha, you should! I’d love to see it as I’ve never used white eyeliner that way. But I’m curious now so I’ll try it soon. :)

I have yet to try anything from Pupa, but you always make their old stuff sound so lovely!

I’m not really sure what the first makeup item I really fell in love with was. I think maybe Prestige Pencil Liner in Granite…it’s one of those drugstore versions of UD pencils. At the time, I was really amazed that I could find a similar quality for such a cheap price, plus the color is gorgeous :)

I like this week’s question! hahah

Makeup Morsels, Pupa makes some lovely products. The kits were so good back then, but these days I prefer their single products. If you have the chance to try them, do so. You won’t be disappointed.

Prestige makes some lovely indeed. They are really creamy and pigmented, although after a while the texture dries up a bit.

Great question! I wasn’t big on makeup when I was a teenager but I’d say the love really started with the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. I never thought foundation could look so natural and feel so light on the skin having been pancaked by my mom when I was forced to wear makeup. Only years later that I could justify finally buying it

Connie, you’re making me want to try that foundation, it sounds amazing! I do think though the high-end foundations in general offer a better coverage and finish. When I was a teenagers I used really cheap ones that made my face look like a mask!
