I usually do a holiday gift guide every year, but this time I was thinking of just writing posts about collections and gift sets I like. Most of the gifts I’d recommend (such as those cute sets from Benefit or luxurious ones from Jo Malone) have already been mentioned on here anyway, so I’m not sure if there is any point in writing a proper gift guide. But if you’d like to see one, then I’ll be glad to write it. 
2. Are there any beauty products you just won’t try?
Self-tanners. I just don’t like a tan. And lash-growing serums cos they scare me!
3. What mascara are you using at the moment?
Chanel Inimitable Intense mascara. It was a sample that came with a mag and I really like it. Review is coming very soon.

2. Are there any beauty products you just won’t try? Like you – any tanning products; also anything containing Vitamin E, as the one that I tried affected my face really badly and I looked like I had an extreme case of sunburn for weeks!
3. What mascara are you using at the moment? Something by BodyShop – don’t use mascara very often!

Marina, I keep hearing the can darken the eyes permanently, which is what puts me off them. If I were sure that wouldn’t happen, I’d probably try them. I think I need to investigate the topic deeper..

Well, there is a beauty product I definitely won’t be trying anymore (lash growth serums). I think I’m allergic to something in there, and last time I tried one I was on steroid drops for a month. So I’m steering clear of those…

I’m layering Urban Decay’s Supercurl Curling Mascara over Diorshow Iconic. Both sample sizes, so I’ll have to look for something new soon.

Makeup Morsels, I’m sorry you are allergic to lash growth serums and had such a horrible experience with them! I hear a lot of bad stories like that unfortunately and I think the best way to have longer, thicker lashes is good, old mascara. I’ll stick to that too..

I wouldn’t use self-tanners either. Also, depilatory creams because the smell of burning hair makes me gag!

L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black. It does provide volume, but it clumps up too so I’m not sure if I like it yet…

Eight, depilatory creams smell really awful! I’ve stopped using them, even because they just don’t work as well as shaving or waxing either..

I agree about self-tanners. And depilatory creams, which are really stinky! I’ve been trying lash serums for two years, but they haven’t worked at all – I have really fine lashes. Still. :p

I change a lot, but my last two are Maybelline: “One by One” and “The Falsies”. I like both of them.

I’m skeptical of those products too. I think they can moisturize skin which makes it look smoother and plumper temporarily but that’s all.. I don’t think they can actually reduce or enhance anything..
