- last long
- cute design

What I didn’t like:
- can’t really smell the scent of the Soleil Scent razors while shaving
A while ago, I reviewed BIC Soleil Lady and Miss Soleil Shavers and mentioned how they made me reconsider my habit of using cheap men’s razors instead of cute women’s ones. They don’t just look pretty, but also work well, are easy to handle and don’t break the bank. The same can be said for two more ranges of shavers by BIC, Soleil Bella and Soleil Scent. But they also have a little something that makes them different from the other ranges. Soleil Bella shavers have four blades instead of three while Soleil Scent razors are scented. Yes, scented. Curious to know how they work? Read on:
Out of all the BIC razors I’ve tried, the Soleil Bella ones are definitely my favourites. They are green and blue in color, which remind me of the sea and summer. Unlike the other razors which have only three, they have four blades so they provide even a closer, more precise shave (no need to shave the same area a few times, doesn’t matter how coarse your hair is) but with no nicks and cuts. They have lubricating strips formulated with coconut milk that allow the razor to glide smoothly on the skin. The pivoting head makes it easy to shave in the curved areas of your body such as the knees while the non-slip grip handle ensures it won’t slide out of your hands while in the shower. I also get more than 5 uses out of them before the blades starts to get slightly dull.
The Soleil Scent shavers are very girly and feminine. Pink and purple in color, their handles are infused with a lavender scent which is supposed to be relaxing. I have to admit that when I first heard of it, I was a bit taken aback and thought it was pointless. I mean, while I guess it is nice to have a razor that smells nice, who actually smells their razor?! And even though the lavender scent is lovely, it is also very subtle so the smell gets lost in the bathroom and I can’t really smell it unless I bring the razor to my nose, which is something I obviously don’t do. That’d be just too weird.
But although the scent is a gimmick, although a nice one, I think the Soleil Scent shavers are still worth buying as they perform well. Just like the other BIC razors, the provide a close shave (although a bit less close than the Soleil Bella ones), glide smoothly on the skin and I hardly get any nicks and cuts when I use them. They are easy to handle in hard-to-reach areas and their handles ensure a non-slip grip even in the shower. The price isn’t very expensive and, because you can get several uses out of them, they will last you a while.
Available at: Boots.com, Superdrug and Walgreens
Summary
BIC Soleil Bella And Soleil Scent Shavers look pretty and work well. They both provide a close shave (the Soleil Bella a closer one because it has four blades instead than 3) with barely any nicks and cuts, glide on smoothly and have ergonomic handles that ensure a not slip grip. The Soleil Scent shavers have handles infused with a nice lavender scent but unfortunately you can’t smell it while shaving.

I just use hubby’s razor with a different head as he buys the Gillette Mach whatever and it does a great job. I’m not a furry person so I can get away with shaving my legs once a week. I don’t care what my razor looks like or if it smells! lol
Annabella Freeman´s last [type] ..A tale of two scrubby gloves
Annabella, you’re so lucky you can shave only once a week! I have never been too fussy with my razors either. As long as it works, I’ll use it but these ones from BIC really make me reconsider. I feel like I’m getting the whole package: effectiveness, cuteness, even a nice smell lol..
