Name: Herbacin
Brand: Glyzerin Handcreme
Size: 20ml
Price: $1.95

From Herbacin’s website:
The cream with the triple combination of active ingredients:
- camomile heals and restores
- glycerine smooths the skin, moisturises, and keeps the skin elastic
- silicon acts like an invisible glove, protecting against everyday environmental abuse

What I liked:
- moisturizing, leaves hands soft and smooth
- handy to travel with
- pleasant scent
- the price

What I didn’t like:
- leaves a residue behind
- if you have very dry and cracked hands, this won’t be enough for you

I have very dry hands, so using a good hand cream is a must for me. The one I’m using at the moment, which I won in a giveaway from Mylanqolia, is Herbacin Wuta Kamille Glyzerin Handcreme. It comes packaged in a cute round jar, which contains only 20ml of product so it will run out pretty fast if you use it daily. But the small size makes it very handy to carry it around with you when you travel. There is also a bigger version available, which comes packaged in a tube and contains 75ml. The tube is also more hygienic, if not as pretty as the tin.

The cream itself is white in color and has a pleasant chamomile scent that’s not too strong but not too subtle either. The consistency is quite thick but spreads easily on the skin. The cream contains Glycerin, which is a humectant that attracts moisture from the environment into the skin, and Dimethicone, a silicone that creates a protective barrier on the skin, preventing water loss and keeping skin hydrated. As for the chamomile extract, there really isn’t enough of it to really do anything.

The cream leaves my hands soft, smooth and hydrated for hours, but if you have seriously dry and cracked hands, this won’t be moisturizing enough for you. Used regularly a few times a day, it will improve even very dry skin, but for that, I find that creams with vaseline, shea butter and/or mineral oil work best and faster. But for most people, Herbacin Glyzerin Handcreme will be enough to achieve soft and moisturized hands. Unfortunately, this cream also leaves a residue behind. It’s not greasy, but it is definitely there. It seems like it never gets absorbed properly but stays on the surface to act as a protective glove. I don’t find the feeling uncomfortable, but it definitely takes some getting used to.

Summary
Overall, Herbacin Wuta Kamille Glyzerin Handcreme is a very inexpensive cream that gets the job done, and well. Its thick consistency spreads easily on the skin, leaving it soft and smooth for hours. It also has a pleasant scent and the small tin (there is a bigger size available too) is perfect for travel. However, it leaves a residue on the skin and is not moisturizing enough for those with very dry skin.

Rating: 3.5/5
