Name: Pout Polish in Bare Minimum
Brand: Sleek Makeup
Size: 10g
Price: £4.29

From Sleek Makeup’s website:
Bare Minimum Pout Polish is a glossy nude with Jojoba, avocado and sweet Almond oils, ensuring that chapped lips are a thing of the past.

What I liked:
- shiny finish
- moisturizing, not sticky
- contains SPF
- packaging is cute
- the price

What I didn’t like:
- very sheer
- needs to be applied with a brush

The Pout Polishes are among my favourite products from Sleek Makeup. These tinted lip balms are very moisturizing, have a very shiny finish and provide sheer to medium pigmentation.

I really love the hint of color they provide and that’s why Bare Minimum, the latest shade that’s part of the Nude collection, disappointed me a bit. A pale peachy beige in the pot, Bare Minimum is colorless on the lips. It provides a lot of shine, though, and I can see it appeal to those who love very natural looks. I also think it is nice that they added a clear shade to this range, but personally, I would have liked it to be even just a touch more pigmented.

If you don’t mind the sheer color payoff, Bare Minimum is a great lip balm. The texture is not sticky and very moisturizing, leaving your lips soft and smooth, even after the shine has disappeared (about 2 hours later). In addition, it also contains SPF to protect your lips from the sun rays. Isn’t that great? Just like the other Pout Polishes, it has a strong vanilla scent, which I’m not too fond of but I know a lot people like it. Another thing that may put some people off is that you’ll have to use either your fingers or a brush to apply it. Despite that, I find the jar packaging cute.

Summary
Sleek Makeup Pout Polish in Bare Minimum is a colorless lip balm with a highly shiny finish. Not sticky and very moisturizing, it leaves lips soft for hours while protecting them from the sun rays too. You’d need to use your fingers or a brush to apply it though.

Rating: 3.5/5

Fidya, si questa tonalità è molto trasparente. Però come burro di cacao è ottimo, anche se non dà neanche un leggero tocco di colore alle labbra.

Oh, wow, it is indeed sheer and shiny! I hope to encounter Sleek products, too. It’s sad we’re missing out on great stuff…

Yeah, I don’t like using my fingers (and I hate using a brush even more) but I still like the sound of this. Yet another reason why I really should be buying Sleek products.

Someday…

Trisha, it’s a very moisturizing lip balm indeed if you don’t mind using your fingers to apply it. And you really should be buying Sleek products, I know you’d love them, especially the palettes. :)

I would’ve loved this to have more opacity b/c in the pot it looks like a gorgeous nude! The high shine finish is really pretty though.

Makeup Morsels, I agree with you. It’s so pretty in the pot but it just doesn’t translate on the lips. But at least it’s very shiny.

I prefer a natural look for my skin. But for my lips, I prefer something more pigmented, because unfortunately I have pale lips…
