Name: Base Mascara Allungaciglia
Brand: Layla
Size: 6ml
Price: €8,52

From Layla’s website:
A white base with extra fine synthetic micro hair inside, to apply on the eyelashes like a normal mascara. The micro hair will settle delicately on the top of the eyelashes creating a natural extension. Once the base is dry you can add the normal mascara and the final effect will be longer, thicker and more resistant eyelashes.

What I liked:
- lengthens lashes
- longlasting, doesn’t flake
- doesn’t weigh lashes down
- the price

What I didn’t like:
- I honestly can’t think of anything

Every woman wants long, luscious lashes but sometimes mascara alone just isn’t enough to achieve that. In this case, a good lash primer can be very useful. But not all lash primers are created the same. Some provide less than satisfactory results, or flake, or don’t last long. Enter Layla Base Mascara Allungaciglia. It is a white base (although it’s almost transparent once applied on the lashes so you can barely see it) that deposits extra fine synthetic micro hair on your lashes to lengthen them.

The simple mascara wand makes the product easy to apply without clumping lashes together. The result is longer, defined lashes. Of course, don’t expect miracle results. I can clearly see a difference when I use this base. The lashes look longer than when I use mascara alone, but it doesn’t look like I’m wearing false lashes. It also stays put for the entire day without flaking nor fading and it’s easy to remove with any makeup remover.

Summary
Layla Base Mascara Allungaciglia deposits fine synthetic hair on lashes that will help add length. As a result, lashes are longer and defined for the entire day. It doesn’t flake and the price is cheap. But don’t expect it to give you a false lashes look or you’ll be disappointed.

It’s good to know this doesn’t weight lashes down, that’s a common problem I’ve had with these types of lash bases in the past. Your lashes look really nice and separated, great review :)

Makeup Morsels, I was glad to find out that it doesn’t weight lashes down. That’s a big plus. :)

It seems the result is quite good. But is this type of lash primer applicable to waterproof mascara only? I am currently using tubing mascara, because my eye care regimen is too oily for waterproof mascara to stay put. I got smudges under my eyes within one hour if I ever tried (the waterproof one).

Amanda, the mascara I used in the swatches above aren’t waterproof so you can use this type of base with those too.
