Sunday Survey, Vol.69

in sunday survey

1. One place you never get bored of visiting?
London! It is such a magical city and there’s so much to see and do there!

2. What’s the best brush for liquid foundation?
E.L.F. Studio Powder Brush. It provides great coverage, the bristles are very soft and don’t shed and it is so inexpensive!

3. How many mascaras do you have in your stash at the moment?
Only one. Mascaras have such short shelf-lives that I buy them only when a tube has run out. I don’t really see the point in buying lots of them and then having to throw them away half-full cos I didn’t have the time to use them.

4. Historical fiction or historical romance?
For those who don’t know the difference (I only learnt it a few years ago), historical romances are about a love story, usually with lots of sex scenes and very little historical accuracy. Historical fiction can feature a love story but they can be thrillers or tell the story of some historical figure and don’t necessarily have a happy ending. They are usually more historically accurate. And for those reasons, I prefer historical fiction books.

5. Do you like driving?
No, I hate it!

Marina, driving can feel like such a chore and it’s the other drivers that really make me hate it. There are so many people who don’t pay attention or are just maniacs!

1. One place you never get bored of visiting?
Taiwan! The shopping & food are both great :)
2. What’s the best brush for liquid foundation?
I also love the ELF studio powder brush! That thing is such a multitasker!
3. How many mascaras do you have in your stash at the moment?
I think around 3 at the moment, but one is getting old so I should probably throw it out. I like to have one lengthening and one volumizing mascara open at a time, so I can use either one depending on how I want my makeup to look that day.
4. Historical fiction or historical romance?
It depends whether I’m interested in the time period or not. If so, I prefer historical fiction for accuracy.
5. Do you like driving?
Not really. I like that I’m able to go wherever I went whenever I want, but it’s not something I enjoy doing. Especially hate driving around trucks on the freeway, since they usually cut me off or go really slowly in front of me.

Makeup Morsels, I’d love to go to Taiwan one day, it must be a wonderful place and I’m curious to try the food.

Driving gives you a lot of freedom, especially if you live in a country where public transportation just doesn’t work, but some people drive so bad they really make you hate driving!

1. One place you never get bored of visiting?
The whole France, especially Lyon and Provence because I love the french culture, language, customs and… wine! :D
2. What’s the best brush for liquid foundation?
Louise Young Super Foundation. I think is the best because is large, dense and super soft.
3. How many mascaras do you have in your stash at the moment?
Only one. Like you I think is very useless buying too many mascaras and then throw them out because have dried up.
4. Historical fiction or historical romance?
Historical romance. I studied history and I always loved the historical romances with accuracy. Write this kind of romance requires a good knowledge of certain elements that will be woven into the story and for this reason I LOVE the Russian writers.
5. Do you like driving?
Hate it…

Marguerite, after London, France is another place that I never get bored of visiting either, especially Paris. It’s a beautiful city and I love its history and culture. :)
