Name: 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Zero
Brand: Urban Decay
Size: 1.2g
Price: €18,00

From Urban Decay’s website:
Never before has a pencil this creamy and brilliant been waterproof, too. Velvety-soft, this never-before-seen formula stays soft and creamy for blending (about 30 seconds), then dries down to a long-lasting finish that WILL NOT budge. Line eyes with a hint of color or go for the full artistic, multi-hued effect with the wide selection of lush tropical hues, deep metallics and unusually vibrant neutrals.

What I liked:
- available in lots of shades
- very creamy, glides on easily
- pigmented
- doesn’t irritate eyes
- lasts long, even on the waterline

What I didn’t like:
- smudges slightly at the end of the day
- the price

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencils don’t need any introduction. They’re one of the most popular products the brand makes, are raved about by beauty addicts, bloggers and editors alike, and are available in 23 different shades! To say that I am a fan, too, would be an understatement (they are actually my favourite pencil liners). So, what’s so special about them?

The shade I’ll talk about today is called Zero, a soft black. At first I was a bit disappointed it wasn’t a true, more intense black but after trying it on, I appreciated it a lot more. A soft black is easier to wear even during the day as it doesn’t look too harsh. The color is also very pigmented so one swipe is all you need. The formula is absolutely wonderful. It’s so creamy and glides like butter on the lid without tugging nor pulling.

Once applied, you have about 30 seconds to blend it out if you want a smokier look. After that, it stays put for the entire day. I experience just the tiniest smudging at the outer corner of my eyes after about 8 hours of wear but it is so minor that I don’t really mind it. I’m already home by then so it’s not really a problem for me. And the best part is that it lasts long on the waterline too. I have watery eyes and most eyeliners last less than half an hour there, but after 5 hours, Zero is still there. Pretty amazing, isn’t it? And it doesn’t sting the eyes either.

The only thing I don’t like is the price. It retails at €18,00 which is a lot for a pencil liner, but this is one of those rare cases where I don’t really mind spending a bit more as I think it is well worth the money.

Available at: Urbandecay.com, Sephora.com, Ulta.com and Beautybay.com

Summary
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Zero is a pigmented soft black with a buttery soft texture that glides easily on the lids and lasts for the entire day (it only minimally smudges on me after 8 hours of wear though). It can also be used on the waterline where it stays put for about 5 hours before fading. In addition, it doesn’t sting the eyes but the price is expensive.

Rating: 4.5/5

This is a lovely pencil, but I think the new NARS pencil is better.

I have a mini size version of this pencil eyeliner but I’m not very impressed with it. It does smudge on me, although it’s so soft and fabulous for the smokey eyes look.

Dao, what a shame it smudges on you! But you can always use it for smokey eyes with a good primer underneath. I love how creamy this pencil is too.

I love the UD 24/7 pencils. I love how it last it all day long. I didn’t have to reapply during the evening which is great!

Yeah, I wish UD wasn’t as pricy as it is. But the line that makes is really nice.

Trisha, it’s too bad it is so expensive, isn’t it? But at least it works so well!

I like these pencils a lot. I do have to layer a primer underneath them to prevent smudging, but w/ a primer, they grip on really well. Love the shade range too :)

Makeup Morsels, there are some beautiful colors in this range, aren’t there? If one has oily lids, a primer will definitely help to keep them in place for hours. :)

I think this works beautifully in any other country except ours! It’s humid down here so I can’t seem to use this! it smudges!

These days, I am loving everything UD is doing. I actually scored 3 of these liners on Ebay for $10
