Have you ever heard of Rival De Loop cosmetics? It’s a German drugstore brand that makes some lovely products at affordable prices. I’ve been wanting to try them ever since I discovered the brand on my friend Mylanqolia’ blog so I was really happy when I won one of her giveaways. The prize? Lots of drugstore makeup products including the Rival De Loop Young Glossy Lips in n.10 Apricot Cream.
I really adore this shade: it is a subtle pinkish apricot infused with shimmers to make lips sparkle. It’s not very pigmented but it just provides a hint of color to the lips which is very natural. It’s one of those my-lips-but-better shades, only with shimmers, and suitable for any occasions. It also looks great on top of pink and peach lipsticks to give them some shine.
The texture is not particularly moisturizing, but it doesn’t dry lips either and just feels comfortable on. If you don’t like sticky glosses, you’ll also be happy to know this isn’t sticky at all. The scent may be a problem for some people though: it has a strong fruity apricot scent but it’s quite artificial. I don’t hate it but don’t love it either. In any case, it fades away fast.
Unfortunately, that’s not the only thing that disappears quickly. The gloss, which glides on the lips smoothly and comes in a simple but sleek packaging, only lasts a couple of hours on my lips and that’s if I don’t eat or drink so be prepared to reapply it a few times throughout the day. Considering how cheap the price is though, I don’t mind too much.

The not-sticky texture feels comfortable on and doesn’t dry lips. However, it doesn’t last long on the lips and it has a strong artificial fruity scent that may put some people off.

It’s great to read that you like it! I have to say that the lip stuff by Rival de Loop is the brand’s secret weapon. Unfortunately, their eye shadows and nail varnishes aren’t that convincing.
