Name: Pout Polish SPF15 Caribbean Collection Bonaire
Brand: Sleek Makeup
Size: 10g
Price: £4.29

From Sleek’s website:
A tinted lip conditioning balm formulated with natural oils as well as having a high SPF of 15, giving you gorgeous conditioned lips that are protected from the Sun’s harmful rays.

What I liked:
- provides a pretty and wearable orange tint on lips
- shiny finish
- moisturizing, leaves lips soft and smooth
- not sticky
- contains SPF
- the scent
- packaging is cute
- the price

What I didn’t like:
- not very longlasting
- needs to be applied with a brush

This summer is all about orange lips. They’re fun and suit pretty much everyone but can also be scary if you’re not very adventurous with your lip colors. If you wanna try this trend but are afraid you’re going to look like a clown, Sleek Makeup Pout Polish in Bonaire, part of their Caribbean Collection out on 6th July, is a great place to start. Bonaire looks like a scary bright orange in the pot, but it is surprisingly wearable once applied on the lips.

Very sheer, Bonaire provides just a hint of orange color with lots of shine that will complement a tan very well but will also look good on fair-skinned beauties. You can use it on its own or on top of coral/orange lipsticks to add some shine. In the swatch above, I applied a couple of layers so you could see the color properly but it can be applied more sheerly if you want to. It’s just a very summery shade and perfect for this season.

Bonaire has a moisturizing texture so I can skip wearing a lip balm when I use it. It isn’t sticky at all and just feels very comfortable on the lips. It contains SPF 15 so it will protect your pout from the harmful sun rays too. The scent is sweet and quite strong but I really like which I really didn’t expect to as I can’t stand the scent of the Pout Polish in Pink Cadillac (love everything else about it though). Go figure. It tastes delicious as well.

Unfortunately, Bonaire disappears pretty fast from my lips. After a couple of hours it’s already time to apply it again. And because it comes in a round pot, you’ll either have to use a brush or a finger to apply it, which I know can put some people off. The pot is really cute though and I love the palm and boat design on the lid, very Caribbean. And it’s huge too so the product will last you for ages.

Available at: sleekmakeup.com and Superdrug stores throughout the UK

Summary
Sleek Makeup Pout Polish SPF 15 Caribbean Collection Bonaire provides a sheer and shiny wash of orange color on the lips that’s perfect for summer. Non-sticky, it moisturizes your lips while keeping them protected against the sun rays. The flavour is yummy too. However, it doesn’t last long and some people won’t like having to use a brush or fingers to apply it.

I like this! More lip products need to have SPF.

Trisha, I agree with you about the SPF. It’d be awesome if more products had it, it’s so important!

Nice shade! But I can’t even finish a normal lippie half its size. How do I finish 10g of this? Let alone i’ll probably use my finger to apply it most of the time.

But I am definitely waiting for 6th July to get the curaçao palette and the Aruba blush. Hopefully it will still be available because I read from some British blogs that some Superdrug had sold this collection earlier. Thats why the blogger could buy the whole collection last week.

Vonvon, how to finish it was my first thought too. It’s huge and there’s so much product in it, but then that’s one of the reason why it’s great value for money.

I have heard about some Superdrug stores selling the collection earlier but I hope it’s not sold out yet cos I’ve played with all the products and they’re great (love the palette, the colors are so bright and fun). It’d be a shame if some people missed out on them because of it. Everything should be available online from 6th July in any case.

Ohh I really like the shade! I think sheer oranges look gorgeous on the lips for summer, and the finish of this one is so glossy and nice.

Xin, thanks. It’s a very pretty shade, indeed. And I so hate when the product gets stuck inside the nail too, so annoying! But on the plus side, the pot is so huge it’s gonna last forever.

I wish Sleek would change the appearance of the pots and turn them into lipsticks. It’s always a pain in the arse to reapply them with a lipbrush (nothing for a quick visit to the toilet). But it’s a lovely shade anyway!

Mylanqolia, I would love if they came in tubes too. It’d make application and touch ups easier. But the product is really awesome so I don’t mind too much. :)

Great review. I have the shade Electro Peach which is very beautiful. But this orangey colour looks good on you. ^^

Shang J, these pout polishes are awesome, aren’t they? I love the wash of color and glossy finish they give to lips. :)
