What it is
Ascorbyl Glucoside is a stable form of Vitamin C. It’s made by combining Vitamin C with Glucose.

What it does
Ascorbyl Glucoside is an antioxidant. When applied on the skin, it breaks down into L-Ascorbic Acid (pure Vitamin C) which has powerful antioxidant properties and inhibits the synthesis of melanin. However, when broken down, we don’t know how high (or low), and therefore how effective, the levels of Vitamin C released in the skin are.
The research on this form of Vitamin C is minimal so, even though it sounds promising, we simply don’t know how effective it really is.

Side effects
Ascorbyl Glucoside is generally considered to be safe.

I love vitamin C for my skin! it makes my face look so much better-clear and even! Mary Kay’s C Serum has been the best for me, but its pricey.

Carol, I’m glad you love Vitamin C too, it’s a very beneficial ingredient for skin. Unfortunately products that contain it tend to be pricey, but if they are effective they are worth it imo.
