Are you looking for a gentle exfoliator which removes the dead skin cells on the surface, unclogging the pores and revealing the bright skin underneath without damaging or irritating skin? Then let me introduce you to Liz Earle Gentle Face Exfoliator.

Liz Earle Gentle Face Exfoliator, which has a lovely herbal scent, is a white thick cream full of fine jojoba beads. The beads are very fine and small, so small in fact that when you first pump the product out you can’t see them at all. They only become visible when you start spreading the cream on your skin. Despite this though, they work very well, removing the dead skin cells on the surface without drying out skin. On the contrary, my skin felt so soft afterwards!

In addition, it also left my skin with a nice healthy glow. As for impurities, I’m lucky as I rarely get pimples, blackheads or whiteheads on my skin so I can’t really say how well this product will improve skin that’s congested or prone to breakouts. However, using an exfoliator regularly keeps the pores unclogged, which leads to less breakouts and impurities so considering how well this work, it should help with that too.

Although this is a gentle exfoliant, it’s not so gentle that you can use it everyday. At least I can’t. The first time I used it, it left my skin soft and bright, but the next day I applied it again and, this time, my skin felt really tight and dry. This doesn’t mean that the product is bad, but simply that overexfoliation (no matter what product you use) is always bad for skin. Just like any other exfoliant, you should use it only twice or three times a week, depending on your skin type.

I find that twice a week works best for my combination skin, leaving it in great condition without experiencing any problems whatsoever. If you have sensitive skin though, this exfoliant isn’t suitable for you. I didn’t list it as a con because it is clearly stated on their website and the packaging (a hygienic pale mint green tube with a pump dispenser) that it is designed for all skin types, except sensitive.

The only real con of this product is the price. Some may think that £12.50 is too pricey for 70ml of product (although it’s gonna last you for months) but in that case, you can always try either their 50ml which retails at £8.95 or the 15mlone for £4.85. Both of them come in a tube without a pump dispenser.

LaDamaBianca, io di solito preferisco esfolianti on AHA invece di scrub di questo tipo perchè li trovo abbastanza aggressivi ma questo mi ha sorpresa. E’ davvero molto delicato sulla pelle e la lascia così morbida!

Makeup Morsels, it’s a great exfoliant. It works well but it is also gentle. I’m a fan of Liz Earle products too. Some work well than others for me but they never disappointed me so far. :)
