Do you have dry skin and want to pamper it with a nice moisturizing mask but don’t fancy going out and buy one? Well, just head to your kitchen instead and prepare one of the following DIY recipes instead. They are easy and quick to do and will give your dry skin a much needed hydration boost:
1. Avocado and Acacia Honey mask
2 oz of ripe avocado flesh
1 tsp of pure acacia honey
1 tsp of molasses
1 oz of orange juicea few drops of chamomile essential oil
Mix all the ingredients together (you can either mash them in a bowl or use a blender, whatever you prefer). Apply the mixture on your face and wait about 30 minutes before removing it with a washcloth. The mask moisturizes your skin while the washcloth performs a slight exfoliating action. The result is hydrated, soft and brighter skin.
EDIT 29014: orange juice can be irritating for some skin types, which I don’t recommend you use it anymore. Just make the mask without it.
2. Aloe Vera and Cucumber Mask
– 2 tablespoons of Aloe Vera Gel
– 1/2 cucumber
Remove the peel and seeds of the cucumber, then slice it. Place the pieces and the Aloe Vera Gel in a blender and mix them. Apply the mixture on your face for about 30 minutes. Then, remove it with lukewarm water.
