– not sticky
– the packaging
– the price

What I didn’t like:
– not available outside Italy

Last summer, I told you all about my new HG lip balm, I Provenzali Stick Labbra al Karitè (Shea Butter Lip Balm) and how I cannot live without it. Well, the lip balm comes in another version, this time with Almon Oil, so I thought I’d give that a try too and I wasn’t disappointed. The products are very similar, so I’ll try to keep this short and sweet.

Just like the Shea Butter version, I Provenzali Stick Labbra All’Olio Di Mandorle (Almond Oil Lip Balm) has a dense consistency that stays on the lips instead of melting into them, but isn’t sticky nor leaves a greasy residue behind. On the contrary, it feels very comfortable on and makes skin smooth, moisturized and hydrated.

And the effects last for hours so you won’t have to apply it often. I like to put it on before going to sleep at night and the next morning my lips are super soft. The tube also lasts ages since you only need to use so little at a time. In addition, its ingredients (with a couple of exceptions) are natural and its moisturizing properties come from Castor Oil and Shea Butter, which are present in very high concentrations.

The only difference between the Almond Oil version and the Shea Butter one is… the flavour. I know, not that shocking, right? The Almond Oil lip balm smells and tastes like almonds which I admit I’m not a huge fan of but that didn’t stop me from enjoying the product. If you love almonds, I highly recommend this lip balm, otherwise the Shea Butter version is just as good. Unfortunately, though I Provenzali is a brand only available in Italy. :(

Available at: supermarkets and beauty stores throughout Italy

Overall, I love I Provenzali Stick Labbra all’Olio di Mandorle (Almond Oil Lip Balm). This almost all-natural lip balm has a dense consistency that doesn’t feel sticky and moisturizes lips, leaving them soft and hydrated for hours. And, as the name suggests, it smells of almonds. Unfortunately, it’s only available in Italy.
