Polyvinyl Alcohol is a synthetic form of alcohol.
What it does
Polyvinyl Alcohol is very used in peel-off masks for its ability to form a thin layer of plastic on top of the skin so that these masks can be easily removed.
In addition, this ingredient can also thicken the oil portion of cosmetics.
Side effects
Polyvinyl Alcohol, being a form of alcohol, is irritating.
