Hello everyone,

are you ready to catch up on some interesting beauty reads? This time we are gonna start with a very old post but I stumbled upon it only recently and it has such a powerful, important message that I just had to share it with you. Let’s get started then:

Shapely Prose talks about the fantasy of being thin. And I couldn’t agree more with everything she said.

Derm TV wonders how often we need to reapply sunscreen at work.

The Derm Blog wonders what you should apply first: serums, toners or creams?

Phyrra shares her favourite vegan cruelty-free brushes.

Makeup And Beauty Blog reviews Essie French Affair Spring 2011 collection. Isn’t it gorgeous?

That shapely prose article was excellent. I recomend that we all read it.

Since I wanted my daughter to grow up with a good body/self image, my husband and I focus on being healthy, instead of being “skinny.” Being skinny doesn’t mean that you are healthy. So, I would like to reinforce the idea that there are many ways to improve your health, besides dieting. For example, getting regular exercise (e.g., work out at the gym), eating a healthy diet most of the time, and getting enough sleep.

Eleanor, I’m glad you enjoyed the article, it has such an important message! And I couldn’t agree more with everything you said. People come in all shapes and sizes and trying to be skinny at all costs isn’t healthy. Exercising and a balanced, healthy diet is a great way to stay in shape and in good health and something we should all do.
