Wanted! Sleek i-Divine Primer Palette

As my regular readers know, I’ve always been a fan of Sleek products. After all, they are pigmented, great quality and cheap. What’s there not to like? Well, I’m sure you’ve all heard by now what a disaster their 50% sale was. While I don’t judge a company too harshly if they make a mistake (after all we all make them every now and then), it’s the way they handle those mistakes and try (or not) to sort them out that really shows how good (or bad) a company is and wether I’ll keep supporting it or not.

Well, I was very disappointed by the way Sleek dealt with the problems they themselves created during the sale but that would be too long to explain here, so please read my friend Ana’s throughout and extensive post about it. From now on, though, I’ll buy or talk about Sleek products only when I am REALLY, really, really curious to try them and even then, I’ll get them from ebay or http://www.alicejohavesentials.nl. It’s just not worth it dealing with Sleek directly.

Wow, that is a long introduction to the topic of this post! Sorry about that, but after promoting Sleek for so long, I thought it was necessary to let you know how I feel about the company at the moment and why I’m talking about the new i-Divine Primer Palette. It’s one of those products that I really want to try because it’s not often that a company comes out with a palette featuring 12 coloured eye primers!

Sleek says the colors have a silky formula, are pigmented and will make your eyeshadows last longer while improving their color payoff. And all this for only £6.99! I really love the idea of having so many colorful shades that can be used as bases in one palette although I’m a bit hesitant to purchase it because creamy products tend to crease on my oily lids and instead than enhancing my looks, could instead ruin them.

Still, I think it’s a very interesting product that’s worth checking out if you are a fan of colored cream bases for eyeshadows. What do you think of this palette?

Fidya, è stata proprio una bella idea questa di mettere tanti primer colorati in un’unica palette. Molto utile.

Tammy, I agree. Their customer service has never been that good but I’m really disappointed by how they handled the sale. Still, the palette is gorgeous and I think it’s worth checking out, just don’t buy it directly from their website.

AtelierGal, I agree with you. I’d rather buy their products from other online retailers which have better customer service and avoid all the drama. It’s such a shame though that they screwed up so badly as their products are good.

Stephanie, it’s really disappointed how Sleek handled the whole thing. But at least we can still buy their products somewhere else. *sighs*

Makeup Morsels, I wouldn’t order from their website, their customer service has never been that good. If you’re interested in their products you can always buy them on ebay or some other online retailer.

Ana, I thought of the NYX Jumbo pencils too when I saw them but I like that Sleek put all the shades in one palette instead than having to buy them separately. And it’s also a plus that these don’t need to be depotted. I’m curious to know which one works best too. I haven’t tried the NYX pencils because I heard they crease, I hope Sleek shadows won’t.

I’d love to read a review written by you (your reviews are still the best) but I don’t think that I really need it (I have too many coloured e/s pencils – when should I use them up?). I still wait for an e/s palette only with duochrome shades. God, a dream would come true! :-)

Mylanqolia, aww thanks. I will try to find this palette on ebay as I’m curious to try it. Let’s hope I find it at a reasonable price. Yes, I don’t think it’s a necessary palette if one already has lots of colored pencils that can be used as bases but it’s still tempting. A duochrome palette would be awesome, let’s hope Sleek will listen (preferably anytime soon). 😉
