What it is
Acetyl Glucosamine is an amino acid sugar that’s the main component of Hyaluronic Acid and a group of substances called mucopolysaccharides. All these substances have great water-binding properties and are found in all parts of the skin.
What it does
Acetyl Glucosamine is a natural moisturizer that keeps skin soft, supple and hydrated. However, it does nothing to prevent or reduce wrinkles.
This ingredient can also inhibit melanin production, so it is effective at lightening skin and fading hyperpigmentation spots.
In addition, Acetyl Glucosamine is very effective at healing wounds but only when used in high concentrations.
Side effects
Acetyl Glucosamine is generally considered to be safe.
