How many coats of mascaras do you usually apply?
Beautiful with Brains says: it depends on the mascara. Usually I apply two but if I come across a mascara that provides a very natural look then 3 of 4 (unless it gets clumpy of course). I want my lashes to get noticed (without looking too fake or ridiculous) or what’s the point of wearing mascara at all? lol.

I usually do 2-4 max. There are some mascaras that apply really well with just one coat.
Brittany, me too. Mascaras that apply well with just one coat are hard to come by unfortunately, but there are definitely some good ones out there.
I usually do two, but my definition of a “coat” is dipping the wand into the mascara, not just running over my lashes once. What’s your favorite mascara?

Makeup morsels, that’s my definition of a coat as well and as you, I usually do two. My favourite mascara is Chanel L’Exceptionnel De Chanel. Very expensive, but it really provides volume, length and curl! What’s yours?
Like you, I like to have wonderfully looking lashes so I layer my mascara. If the mascara is heavy, 2 coats would do. If it is not, I’d layer it until I get the effect that I want.
Dao, I find that two coats is usually enough. Some mascaras require more but those are the ones I won’t buy again lol.
I usually do 2 coats!
1 coat waterproof mascara and 1 coat regular mascara

Stavroula, that is a great tip! I’m too lazy to use too mascaras lol, but that’s a combo that usually works so well.
Just one for me, if a coat means redipping the wand in the tube. One dip per eye usually does the trick =)

Pinch, yes, that’s what a coat means to me. What mascara are you using? Cos I find it had to come across a mascara that gives me nice results with only one coat.
Used Victoria’s secret mascara. Am still using that one.
I just use 2 coats.
