why do the drug company put polyethylene glycol in just about every thing the reason that I need to know is because I am allergic to it . polyethylene glycol makes me itch and break out in rash . Isn’t there any drugs out there that they don’t put that in I just found out that the drug company put that in my pain medicine why?

Lucinda, I’m sorry to hear that, how awful! In cosmetics this ingredient is used as a scrub and to help other ingredients penetrate better into the skin. But I’m not sure why it’s used in drugs, sorry.
