Artdeco Holiday 2010, Glam Art, is all about glitz and glamour. Deep greens and blues are paired with browns and beige shades with a shiny, shimmery finish to catch everyone’s eyes. And the packaging and patterns of the products are beautiful too. As always with Artdeco collections, I’m left drooling over each and every item. What about you? Do you have any favourites? Here are the details:

QUATTRO GLAM BEAUTY BOX ART (€8.50)
This beautiful black case decorated with a white motif is perfect to store 4 Artdeco eyeshadows.

BEAUTY BOX MAGNUM (€14.80)
This black and white case can house six eyeshadows and has also room for lipsticks.

GLAM STARS EYESHADOWS (€5.80)
Pictured above, these eyeshadows come in blues, greens, browns and soft creams, all of which have a shimmery and shiny finish.

GLAM STARS EYELIGHTS (€19,50)
Definitely my fave item from the collection, if only for the pretty pattern, it has a silky texture and can be used as an eyeshadow to highlight the browbone or as an illuminating blush.

GLAM STARS LIQUID EYELINER (€10.80)
This liquid eyeliner is available in gold and silver.

LIQUID STAR LINER (€12,80)
A liquid eyeliner available in n.11 Anthracite, n.16 brown and n.18 green.

GLAM STARS SHIMMER CREAM (€ 8,50)
A face and body highlighter with a silky texture that makes you sparkle. For those interested, it doesn’t contain parabens.

GLAM STARS LIPSTICK (€12,80)
A creamy texture infused with glitter for a sparkly effect.

GLAM STARS LIPGLOSS (€ 10,80)
Available in two shades, this gloss is infused with glitter particles and has a wet-look finish.

CERAMIC NAIL LACQUER (€ 7,50)
Available in n.288 Sparkling Purple, n.291 Sparkling Red and n.294 Sparkling Beige.

GLAM STARS GLITTER SPRAY (€ 6,80),
Available in gold or silver. It can be used on both skin and hair for a sparkling effect.

What do you think of this collection? Yay or nay?

I was so hoping to try ArtDeco while I was in Italy but I didn’t see it – perhaps I didn’t know where to look? In fact, the only makeup I saw was at the small Sephora store at the Roma Termini. Didn’t see anything else anywhere LOL!

Paris, unfortunately Art Deco is one of those brands that is available only in a few cities and mostly at salons. I had to contact the brand through their website and get the phone number of the Art Deco representative in my part of the country to find out the nearest point of sale to me! It’s a shame cos they make some great and inexpensive products, even though they are really small.

That’s a shame you didn’t see any makeup stores in Rome, I would have thought there were a lot! lol. I know there are a few in the town centre, maybe you didn’t go there? It’s a shame you didn’t get to try any good Italian makeup but if you want to, I can always send you some stuff.

Ahhhh its no wonder I didn’t see ArtDeco then! :D I know how weird it is. I was wandering all over Rome wondering where all the pharmacies and makeup counters and shopping centers were hiding! Perhaps behind the ruins hehe… Thanks for your offer Gio! I’ll drop you a line soon :)

Paris, unfortunately some brands are hard to find here. Even MAC and Sephora have only a bunch of stores throughout the country. A pity, really. It’s weird that all the beauty stores were hiding lol but isn’t that always the case when you’re looking for something? My sister went to NYC last year and I asked her to buy some stuff from Bobbi Brown and other USA brands but she couldn’t find the counters anywhere.

But just drop me an email I’ll glad to send you some good Italian products. :)

I like the look of the Beauty Box Magnum. The colors are nice and the price is decent. I wonder how well they apply, though.

Trisha, that’s a lovely palette. I love Art Deco shadows. They are pigmented, have a soft texture and apply smoothly. The only downside is that they are really small. I thought they were testers the first time I saw them! But I can’t fault their quality.

I think I am having an overdose of neutrals lately. But the blue and green eyeshadows are really pretty.

And the Glam Stars Eyelights are so pretty! and versatile too.

Vonvon, I love the blue and green shadows too. And even though I’m not a fan of liquid liners (I find them too difficult to apply), these look lovely and perfect for both everyday and more dramatic looks.

I’m loving everything about this collection. Why can’t they sell in the U.S.?! I think the editors went a little overboard with the Photoshop on the model, though.

Tammy, it’s a beautiful collection, isn’t it? Art Deco is a great brand, it should be more easily available worlwide. And I agree, the promo photo is way too photoshopped!
