Product Review: Pupa Diva’s Rouge Lipstick in n.11

Name: Diva’s Rouge Lipstick in n.11
Brand: Pupa
Size: 3,5ml
Price: €16,50

From Pupa’s website:
Right from first application, colour is pure and rich, writing is perfect, no smudging, and your lips look amazingly full, plumpy, defined and smooth. The colour is intense and long lasting, to cover lips totally, making them ultra bright. Its formula is highly technological to ensure smoothness, creaminess, comfort, brightness and moisture.

What I liked:
– available in lots of shades
– pigmented
– creamy texture
– quite moisturizing
– longlasting
– the packaging

What I didn’t like:
– if you have dry lips, this may not be moisturizing enough for you
– the price

Pupa Diva’s Rouge Lipsticks are available in 18 shades, from pinks to browns, from reds to oranges, from purples to beiges, all intense and bright. Choosing one among them wasn’t easy but in the end I came home with n.11. It is a warm chocolate brown with some subtle purple undertones and I admit that it looked a bit boring in the tube. But when swatched, it’s beautiful.

It is pigmented and bright with a slight shiny finish. Very wearable and perfect for the office or any other occasion, the richness of the color prevents it from looking dull. One swipe is enough to deliver opaque coverage that will last for hours: I find myself having to retouch it only after meals.

I also love the texture. It is creamy and glides on so smoothly without settling into fine lines. And it is also moisturizing. I wouldn’t say it is as moisturizing as Lancome or other high end lipsticks, but close. Unless your lips are quite dry, you can skip wearing a lip balm as the lipstick feels very comfortable on.

I’m not sure how I feel about the packaging. I like the silver and red tube. It is simple and modern, a tad futuristic even. It’s just the curved shape I’m not too fond of as I find it a bit bulky for my taste. I also wish the lipstick was cheaper but considering the good quality, I don’t mind splurging on one every now and then.

Available at: Pupa counters

Overall, I love Pupa Diva’s Rouge Lipstick in n.11. The color is pigmented, intense and bright but still wearable and perfect for daytime. The texture is creamy and quite moisturizing so that it glides on smoothly without drying lips. However, it is on the pricey side.

Nikki, it’s interesting you say that because Pupa is an Italian brand and their makeup and skincare is very popula here while their fragrances are often overlooked. In more than 12 years of using Pupa products I don’t think I have ever tried one of their fragrances lol. Their makeup is great though, you should definitely try something if you can. :)

I definitely agree with you on the packaging. It does look a bit bulky but other than that, the color looks beautiful. So wearable yet bright enough for a night out!

Dee, I agree. The color is beautiful and perfect both for day and night time. I wish the packaging was slimmer though.

Makeup Morsels, I don’t mind the curved shape but I think it would have looked prettier and more practical to carry around if it had been thinner. The color’s pretty, isn’t it? :)

Stavroula, you have to try their baked products and lippies, they’re great! :) That’s not a color I usually go for but I thought it looked so pretty after I swatched it. :)
