Name: I-Divine Storm Eyeshadow Palette

From Sleek’s website:
The Storm i-Divine palette comprises of 12 strong and rich shades perfect for accentuating the eyes and creating natural looks. The velvet-touch consistency gives full and shimmering coverage to the eye lid for maximum effect.
What I liked:
- beautiful selection of colors
- versatile palette, shades are perfect to create both natural and smokey looks
- highly pigmented
- soft texture, easy to blend
- longlasting
- sleek packaging
- cheap price
What I didn’t like:
- some fall out can occur when you use the darker shades
You all know how much I love my Sleek palettes, right? I have 8 of them and I’m still trying to track down a couple of LE I missed, but one palette I wasn’t sure I wanted was Storm. It may sound weird since Storm is a favourite among many, but you know me, I love bright and colorful shades, while this palette contains mostly neutral tones. Of course, every time I saw swatches of it, I wanted to get my hands on it as soon as possible, but I just didn’t know if I was gonna use it that much.
Then, while in London a few months back, I went to Superdrug and couldn’t resist any longer. I just had to have it anyway. I figured that there are some occasions when bright makeup isn’t appropriate so a palette like this can be handy and buying it at Superdrug was cheaper than on their website as there aren’t any shipping costs. So home it went with me and it was a purchase I never regretted.
Storm features 12 mineral based eyeshadows in mostly neutral shades ranging from golds to browns, from creams to pink, with a couple of dark green and blue shades, in metallic and matte finishes. This is what makes this palette so versatile. It can be used to create natural and safe looks that can be worn on any occasion and at the office, while the darker shades offer a beautiful touch of color and can be used to create smoky looks for the night time. It is also great for travelling.
All the shades, in true Sleek style, are highly pigmented and absolutely gorgeous. I’m not a huge fan of neutrals as I find them boring, but these aren’t. They are quite gorgeous and I find myself using this palette a lot more than I initially thought. They also have a soft and creamy texture which allows the shadows to blend like a dream but minimal fall out can occur when you use the darker shades. It doesn’t really bother me as I always do my eyes first and I apply my face makeup later.
Like the other Sleek eyeshadows that I’ve tried, these too last all day on my slightly-oily lids and don’t crease. If your lids are oily though, I recommend using a primer or some creasing and fading could occur. In addition, the black packaging is sleek and classy. Because of the color, if you own more than a Sleek palette, you’ll find it’s not so easy to distinguish it from the others, but I still prefer this packaging to the white of the Bohemian palette or the red of the Circus one, which both look cheap in comparison. And I love that it comes with a huge mirror!
Available at:Sleekmakeup.com and Superdrug stores in the UK
Summary
If you love neutral shades you have to get this palette. And if you prefer brights but want to add some natural shades to your collection, get it too. This is an amazing and inexpensive palette that can be used to create neutral and wearable looks as well as smokey and dramatic ones. All the shades, in both matte and metallic finishes, have excellent color payoff, are easy to blend and last long. However, you may experience minimal fallout when applying the darker shades.

Ha!! I got it last week, and I agree with you, it’s great.
I also have the “original” Sleek palette and I was planning to put a little drop of nail polish (different shades) somewhere on the lid to tell which is which, as I’m planning to buy a couple more: the colours are so intense (the slate tealish grey of this one is really wonderful) and the quality incredible for this price.
Fuzzyleo, the Original palette was the first one I bought and I instantly fall in love. I’ve been collecting them all ever since. I agree with you, the colors are gorgeous and intense. The quality is so great that it’s hard to believe they are so cheap. They’re definitely great value for money.
The colors are quite intense. Can do smokey eyes with no problem
Lavender, they are very intense and pigmented indeed. You can create some beautiful smokey eyes with these and the neutral shades look kinda natural and perfect for the daytime too.
wow, that is one fantastic palette! The colors look so pigmented! One of my friends is going to London for a semester. I may ask her to buy some of these palettes for me.
Dao´s last [type] ..Chanel no 5- I Get It Now
Dao, ask her to get them all for you lol. You have to get at least Storm and Original as they are the most versatile, having both neutrals (Storm a lot more than Original) and colorful shades in different finishes. Chaos only has matte and Acid is hard to appreciate if you don’t like neons. As for Sunset I haven’t tried it but whatever palette you decide to get, you can’t go wrong, they are all very pigmented and soft.
This is one of my favourite sleek palette. I’m waiting for an international delivery with my Chaos!

Marguerite, I hope you get them soon. Both palettes are amazing!
wow that’s an AMAZING price for such a nicely pigmented palette! I’m so in love with those colors, I’ll have to take a look at the other ones too b/c I do love my brights.
makeup morsels´s last [type] ..Circleish Lenses
Makeup Morsels, it’s hard to believe such great shadows are so inexpensive, isn’t it? And loving my brights too, I never thought that natural shades could look so pretty! All the othe palettes are beautiful too.

Xin, they’re beautiful, aren’t they? And so inexpensive. I hope you manage to get a palette soon, you’ll love it.
I really should buy a Sleek palette one of these days. This is nice, but I think I’d prefer their vibrant colorful palettes more.
Trisha´s last [type] ..elf Waterproof Eyeliner Pen Review
Trisha, you so should! If you like brights, I think Circus is still available, but it’s LE, so you’d better hurry! Acid has the brightest colors though, 4 of them are neon! Slightly harder to work with than the other shades, but workable. Original is one of my faves as well, very versatile as it has both natural and colorful shades.
Thank you for the lovely swatches, gio! Love all the colors in the 1st row, and the Silver grey which is 2nd from right in the bottom row!

Vonvon, you’re welcome. This palette has some beautiful colors, hasn’t it?
Wow! I’ve been doing a little bit of eBay shopping and since I don’t live in the UK I’ve decided to check out a few of the Seek Palettes. I have a lot of bright colours but like, no neutral ones! This palette looks perfect and, now that I’ve read you review, I’ve decided to buy it! Thanks for being such a big help!
SpreadSomeHappiness, I’m glad my review helped you. It’s such a great palette, you won’t regret your purchase. This is a great palette for those that need a few neutrals eyeshadows in their collection and the colors aren’t boring at all. The pigmentation is insane too!
