Zinc Gluconate is made from zinc and a sugar, glucose.
What it does
Zinc Gluconate is used in deodorants as a cosmetic biocide. This means that it helps prevent or kill bacteria that cause bad odour.
In addition, Zinc Gluconate is effective at treating inflammatory acne when ingested but there is no research showing if that applies to topical application as well.
Side effects
Zinc Gluconate is toxic in high doses. If you take Zinc Gluconate supplements, never exceed more than 100mg per day.
