The Body Shop Smoke And Fire
I’ve always been a fan of The Body Shop and usually every collection they released has had a few beautiful pieces I adored, but this time they have outdone themselves. Just look at the picture above, don’t these products look amazing? The most beautiful pieces are, undoubtedly, the Autumn Leaves compacts (€22), available in Chestnut and Berry. They are supposed to highlight the complexion and give it a nice natural glow. Plus, doesn’t the leaves pattern look stunning and autumnal? That’s actually the main reason why I want at least one of these pretty compacts.
For the eyes, we have 3 new Eye Colours in Midnight Blue, Peach and Velvet Green (€11.95). They’re said to be crease-resistant and longlasting and I hope they’re pigmented too. Also very interesting are the Kajal eyeliners (€10.95) available in Charcoal, Evergreen and Steel. They are shaped like a cone and I’m very interested to see how they perform. Like the face compacts, they are LE, so be quick if you wanna pick up one of them.
The collection also includes Colourglide lip colours (€10). Unfortunately I don’t know the name of the shades, but they all look pretty safe and wearable for most occasions and they are said to have a moisturizing texture as well. If you like your lipsticks to look natural and not too obvious, these may be worth checking out.
Shu Uemura Fluorescent
Shu Uemura’s offering this fall is small but the products are still very appealing and have me drooling all over them. My favourite items are the new Eye and Cheek Palette, available in Bloom Graceful which includes purple and green eyeshadows and pink blush and Dreamy Petal which features pink, purple, gold and brown eye shadows plus a red blush. Not only are the color combinations interesting, but the compact they are housed in are decorated with flowers and are beautiful. I want them both just for the packaging.
My latest obsession is nail polish so obviously I’m really digging the new ones in Red, Purple and Gold. Granted, they aren’t the most original colors out there and maybe some of you have very similar colors in your stash, but I still find them very pretty. Also, I adore the funky lashes. Called Feather Floral Fake Eyelashes, available in Red and Purple. I wouldn’t know where to wear them but they’re definitely cool.
The last product from the collection is a powder. The Floral Mineral Shimmer Powder, which like everything else in this collection is a Limited Edition item, is a gold pearl shade that will give your skin a soft and natural shine. Honestly, powders very rarely excite me and I wish they had done something better with the packaging but I think it’s still worth a shot if you’re looking for a powder that will make you glow subtly.
YSL Rock & Baroque
YSL’s fall offering contains a lot of beautiful products that will leave you salivating. The collection is too big for me to list all the items, especially since lots of other blogs have talked about it too, so today I’m just gonna show you my picks from Rock & Baroque. Being a huge eyeshadows lover, let’s start with those.
There are two new Ombres Duolumieres ($41.00) eyeshadow duos in #29 Purple Amethyst/Tawny Brown and #31 Midnight Blue/Solar Gold. I don’t care too much for the first combination, but the gold and blue duo is just right up my alley. It’s not often you come across a high-end brand that releases a daring combination like that and I love the contrast between the two colors. I just hope the pigmentation won’t disappoint as it is often the case with expensive brands.
Next, the two face products. The new Blush Variation in Venetian Rose ($45.00) features four squares of matte and iridescent texture that blend together to give cheeks a lively and glowy flesh of color. The other product is Peche n° 1 L’Éclat Collector Palette ($65.00), which features interwoven matte and shiny gold shades. You can use it both as a blush or powder to highlight your skintone.
For the lips, YSL has released 6 new shades of Rouge Volupte Perle SPF 15 lipstick ($34.00) in Beige Caress, Coral Sun, Sparkling Pink, Stellar Pink, Insolent Beige and Mesmerizing Purple. If instead you’re a lipgloss gal, you can choose between the two new shades of Golden Gloss ($29.00), Golden Satin and Golden Toffee, which are both supposed to be very shimmery.
Finally, the nails. And this time the nail polishes come in duos so you can create beautiful and colored French manicures. The combinations available of the Manicure Couture ($30.00) are three: Beautiful Day, Rive Gauche and Belle de Nuit, pictured above and my favourite.

Love the cool palette from shu! Suddenly YSL looks very intriguing to me. Can you see the blush variation looks a bit like it has a moustache on it?
But the colour looks very pretty
Pinch, now that you mention it, you’re right. It looks like the blush has a moustache lol. It’s still pretty though and I find the whole collection very interesting.

Puen, but LE are so hard to resist as you can only get them for such a short time! But well done for not giving in this time, I don’t think I could have done that
