From Layla’s website:
Top Cover Fard Compatto delineates your face by coloring it perfectly and in an extraordinarily natural way. Formulated with transparent pigments to add color without looking cakey.
What I liked:
– beautiful shades
– good color payoff
– give cheeks a natural and glowy look
– some of these blushes are very shimmery
– easy to apply
– longlasting
– mirror included in the compact
– the price
What I didn’t like:
– if you’re not into shimmery blushes, some of the shades aren’t for you
– powdery texture
Last week, the lovely people at Layla Cosmetics kindly sent me a few of their products for review and after playing with them, it’s time to share my thoughts with you. Let’s start with a face product that really impressed me: the Top Cover Fard Compatto (Pressed Blush). Available in 12 shades, I had the chance to try three of them:

(from left to right, n.3, n.8 and n.7)
N.3 is a beautiful tan brown shade with a satin finish that looks very natural on while giving cheeks a subtle glow. The shade is very summery and perfect for those that want a dewy look without lots of shimmers.
N.7 is a beautiful Barbie pink shade chock full of shimmers. The least pigmented of the three, it still provides enough coverage to give your cheeks a healthy rosy flush. The shade is very shimmery, so if you like your blushes matte or almost, this is not for you (but don’t worry, not all the shades are so shimmery). It won’t make you look like a glittering disco ball, but it’ll definitely make your cheeks sparkle.
N.8, which is also my favouirte, is a stunning rosy peach shade infused with gold shimmers. The gold sheen is very evident, especially when the light hits it. The blush gives cheeks a natural and sexy flush that makes me look more awake and will be suitable for most skintones. I find myself reaching for it often ever since I got it and it’s definitely a shade I’ll repurchase when it runs out.
All three blushes have good color payoff. They are not too sheer that you can barely see the color once applied but they aren’t too pigmented either so you don’t have to be too careful when you apply them. It’s impossible to overdo them and look like a clown with these. Plus, they blend like a dream.
Another thing they all have in common is the staying power. I’d apply them in the morning and they stay put for most of the day. They only start to disappear when dinner time approaches. The color is still there, although faded but unless you’re going out in the evening, you won’t need to retouch it.
The only thing I disliked is the texture. Although it is soft and silky smooth to the touch and easy to blend, it is also powdery. But honestly, this is not a big deal to me. The colors are beautiful, apply like a dream and give cheeks a natural and dewy look that lasts most of the day and the price is right too so I can easily forgive them for being powdery.
Also, a note about the packaging. The blushes are housed in a white and gold cicular compact which includes a mirror. Although it isn’t huge, it is big enough to see what you are doing and be useful. The brush included in the compact instead has hard bristles that scratch skin and is so useless (but then when aren’t brushes included with products useless?).

Summary
Overall, I love Layla Top Cover Fard Compatto (Pressed Blush). The shades give a beautiful and natural flush with a glowy look. Some of the shades are very shimmery, maybe too much for some, while others have a satin finish and a more subtle glow. They are easy to apply and last most of the day but the soft texture is powdery.

Paris, unfortunately I don’t think they are. I did a small search but couldn’t find any website that sells them at the moment.
