Name: Rain Polish
Brand: Eyeko
Size: 8.5ml
Price: £3.50

From Eyeko’s website:
Here comes the Rain…but there’s always a silver lining and
2 coats of this gorgeous grey-blue hue will put a smile on
your face and keep your fingers fashion forward all season

What I liked:
– beautiful and unique shade
– thick formula easy to apply without streaks
– good coverage
– easy to remove
– the pretty bottle
– the price

What I didn’t like:
– takes a bit longer to dry compared to other Eyeko polishes

Eyeko has just released two new LE nail polishes, Saucy (which I’ll review very soon so stay tuned) and Rain, my favourite of the two and the one I’m gonna talk about today. As usual, its packaged in a very pretty bottle that aptly features a drawing of London in the rain. Plus, the small size makes it very easy to store it in my stash.

The shade is a very interesting too and kinda unique. Rain is a beautiful blue with a grey tint and very subtle silver shimmers. It was love at first sight for me and I love how the shade perfectly captures the color of the gloomy, cloudy and rainy sky. And the addition of the shimmer, which looks more of a subtle sheen on the nails, is such a nice touch as it prevents the shade from being boring and flat. On the contrary, it is beautiful and chic.

Now, the formula’s a bit thick and while I still found it easy to apply without streaking, I had to use a bit more product that I normally use so it also took a bit longer to dry compared to other Eyeko polishes. Also, one coat was still on the sheer side, so I needed to apply another one to get complete, opaque coverage.

The staying power didn’t disappoint either. On me, it lasted about 4 days without a top coat before some chips started to appear, but then consider than I’m pretty hard on my nails. This could easily last about a week without chipping if you decide to use a protective top coat on top.

Available at: Eyeko.com

Summary
Overall, I’m very impressed by Eyeko Rain Polish. This unique blue shade with a grey tint and some shimmers has a thick texture that applies smoothly and is opaque in only two coats. In addition, it is easy to remove and inexpensive. However, it takes slightly longer to dry than other Eyeko polishes.

Rating: 4/5

In the bottle, I didn’t like the color. But on your hands, it looks AWESOME. It’s steely and subtle. I like it.

Trisha, I think it looks better on the nails than in the bottle too. It has the right combination of blue and grey and it’s very pretty and wearable.

Wow, that’s a gorgeous shade of Rain. Rain doesn’t look so pretty where I live, but I guess everything’s better in London :)

I was just thinking how perfect that would be for me to wear tomorrow! Interesting but not too bright. Oh well :)

Pinch, it’s beautiful isn’t it? It’s an unusual shade of blue and it’s not too bold which makes it very wearable for most occasions. :)

Awwwww that looks pretty!! :) In the bottle it looks kinda dull, but on your hands it’s such a nice, pastel color! :)

Stavroula Plag, I’m afaid the color in the bottl doesn’t do the shade justice but on the nails, wow! It becomes such a pretty and interesting shade. :)

Yeah I can see that! So pretty!! :) Hmmm 4 days without chipping (and without using a top coat) would be a miracle for me! :(

Stavroula, I’m prettu hard on my nails so most polishes cheap pretty soon if I don’t use a top coat. So I was very pleasantly surprised about Eyeko’s polisges lasting 4 days without chipping. :)

Nikki, you’re welcome. I know you love polishes so if you have the chance, you should try something from Eyeko. They have a nice formula and good color payoff. :)

Cute packaging as always for Eyeko products. And the shade is very pretty and unusual.
