I’ve always been attracted to Anatomicals. I love the cool and fun names this UK brand gives to their products and their simple but eye-catching packaging. Those big letters and striking colors are sure to grab anyone’s attention! Plus, their products are so inexpensive! So I decided to try some of their stuff and, being a lip balm addict, I just had to start with their lip balm.

Stop Cracking Up, which comes in a simple but bright red tube, is a clear lip balm that reminds me a lot more of a lipgloss than a lip balm. It has the same consistency of a lipgloss minus the stickiness but some people may find it a bit greasy at first, especially if you’re generous with application (less is definitely more with this one). And it also shines just like a gloss. For this reason, this is not suitable to be worn underneath lipsticks, but can be used on top to add a touch of shine and hydration to your pout.

Personally, I don’t mind the consistency and I love how shiny it is. Plus, it has a pleasant, not-overpowering scent and no taste at all. But a lip balm to be good needs to moisturize lips well, otherwise, despite its pros, it’s just not worth buying in my opinion. So, does this lip balm pass the hydration test as well? You’ll be pleased to know that yes, it does. :)

Stop Cracking Up makes my lips soft, smooth and hydrated for hours and I find that I don’t have to reapply it as often as I usually do with most lip balms. However, using lip balms a lot my lips are already in a great condition and don’t need much moisture. While I think this is an amazing product, I can’t test how well it performs on seriously cracked and chapped lips. If that’s you and you don’t think this is moisturizing enough for you, you can always use it as a clear gloss instead.

Available at: Anatomicals.net , Asos.com, Amazon UK and BeautyBay

Summary
Overall, I love Anatomicals Stop Cracking Up lip Balm. Packaged in a funky tube, it moisturizes lips for hours while making them look glossy, shiny and beautiful. Although it looks more like a gloss than a lip balm, it isn’t sticky (a slightly bit greasy maybe).

Nikki, less oily, I’d say. The consistency is more liquidy than that of most glosses and lip balm, which makes it slightly oily. But it’s mostly a problem if you apply too much. With only one thin layer it’s not really that oily at all.
