Hello everyone,

and TGIF! It’s been a long week here and I can’t wait to chill out and relax this weekend. What about you? Talking about makeup, I haven’t been wearing much of it lately due to the hot and humid weather we’re having at the moment so I’m showing you a look I did a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to do something simple but very bright and hopefully I achieved that.

I called it Violet Meadow because the green reminds me of the color of the grass, while the purple that of those pretty violet flowers that grow in it. Then, I added a thin line of light-blue eyeliner to represent the clear blue summer sky. What do you think?

Products used:
Senna Totally Transforming Eyeshadow Primer
– Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy
Sleek I-Divine Bohemian Eyeshadow Palette (matte bright green and matte purple)
– Barry M Dazzle Dust #15 in Aqua
Sleek Curious eyeshadow palette (lilac and white)
Barry M Intense Eyeliner Pen in Kingfisher Blue
– Collistar Infinito Mascara
YSL Teint Singulier Sheer Powdercreme Veil Foundation
Max Factor Erace Concealer
Milani Minerals Blush in Luminous
Senna Spot Lites Highlighting Pencil
Barry M Lip Gloss Wands in Bubblegum Pink

Directions:
– Apply an eyeshadow primer (I used Senna Totally Transforming Eyeshadow Primer) all over the lid to create a base for the shades to adhere to and last longer.
– Apply Fyrinnae’s Pixie Epoxy (if you don’t have it, you can skip this step) on the lid to make the colors brighter.
– Apply a matte bright green (I used the one in the Sleek Bohemian palette) on the lid.
– Sweep a lilac shade (I used the one in the Sleek Curious palette) on the crease.
– Apply an aqua shade (I used Barry M Dazzle Dust #15 in Aqua) on the outer lid to darken it.
– Sweep a lilac shade (I used the one in the Sleek Curious palette) on the crease.
– Apply a white shade (I used the one in the Sleek Curious palette) on the browbone to highlight.
– Sweep a matte purple shade (I used the one in the Sleek Bohemian palette) on the lower lashline.
– Line your upper lashline with a light blue eyeliner (I used Barry M Intense Eyeliner Pen in Kingfisher Blue) and apply mascara.
– On your face, apply concealer (I used Max Factor Erace Concealer) to cover dark circles and any other imperfection you may have, and then your usual foundation (I used YSL Teint Singulier Sheer Powdercreme Veil Foundation in no.5).
– Apply a pink blush with peach undertones (I used Milani Minerals Blush in Luminous) on your cheeks and highlight the cheekbones, middle of the nose and chin with a subtle white highlighter (I used Senna Spot Lites Highlighting Pencil).
– Apply a semi-opaque, bright pink gloss (I used Barry M Lip Gloss Wands in Bubblegum Pink) on the lips and you’re done!

Ahhhh…. Sleek and Barry M have some of the nicest colors for eye makeup. The green is beautiful and the eye liner really pops. And you make colors which seem to be in contrast go together so beautifully!

Vonvon, thank you! And I agree. Barry M and Sleek make gorgeous colors. I love their eye products, they are so pigmented! I wasn’t sure these colors would go well together but I love experimenting and really liked how it turned out. :)

Yay! I get to see your beautiful face! The Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy definitely made the colors much more vibrant! This is one of my favorite looks from you. That lilac color looks really nice in your crease and the blue liner has a turquoise feel to it when applied on top of the green shadow. Lovely look Gio.

Dee, thank you! I love my Pixie Epoxy, it makes colors so bright and really pop! I couldn’t imagine doing a look without it now. I wasn’t sure about the liner at first, but when I applied it, I loved how the blue slightly changed on top of the green shade. :)

So pretty! That green eye shadow is gorgeous. I wish Sleek was easier to find in the U.S.

Tammy, thanks! I wish Sleek was more easily available outside of the UK too but at least now their website ships worldwide. :)

You don’t do any eye make ups at the moment? What a pity! But you’re right. The hot temperatures aren’t perfect for make up. The weird thing is that I still do my make up as I don’t look very awake and fresh when I leave this step out. I have massive probs to sleep when it’s warm. *bummer* But hey, let’s talk about your eye make up! The colour combo is stunning as you’ve chosen my fave colours. Greens and purples rock together forever! :-) Besides, I love the turquoise liner! It makes your eyes pop and harmonizes with your lovely green eyes.

Mylanqolia, I still apply makeup but usually on nights out at the weekend. Not so much during the day as it is too hot here at the moment although I still use concealer or foundation/tinted moisturizer if I’m having a bad skin day. :( Thanks hun, I’m glad you like it. Greens and purples are two of my fave colors and it’s always a pleasure to use them together. I didn’t expect the liner to become turquoise on top of the green but I live the result. :)
