Tavia, I'm sorry to hear you had some bad experience with OPI PR people. But I agree with you on everything you said. I think some companies, Opi included, just don't release the potential and usefulness of bloggers. They seem to prefer to rely on traditional media like magazines but consumers are slowly turning away from that and prefer reading blogs instead. Bloggers usually get the news out first and can reach a much larger number of people and you can see swatches and how the color really looks when applied and read about someone's experience with the product and its pros and cons. That's what really influences a purchase rather than a small mention in a magazine that will be thrown away the next day. But some companies don't understand that and treat us bloggers badly and then, when they need us, they come back thinking they can use us as they like. Personally, I won't feature Opi on my blog nor buy their products anymore. There are lots of other brands that are more worth my time and money.

I'm not surprised about OPI at all. I had some bad experince with some of OPI PR so I know how it's like. This is probably the main reason why I don't buy OPI nail polishes, only when I think about those conversations with their PR department it gives me the creeps. They have too much confidence and they treat beauty bloggers like.....(I'd rather not say), when they don't realize that a written post about their collections or a review will be there forever, not like those articles in the magazines (you buy them, read them and throw them away...you can't re-read them after 6 months if you want).
