From Collistar’s website:
Soft and extremely versatile, this pencil may be used as an eye liner to define the eye contours or, using the special latex tip applicator, blended over the lids as an eyeshadow. Thanks to its waterproof formula it guarantees a very long-lasting wear.
What I liked:
– available in lots of beautiful shades with a metallic finish
– creamy texture
– glides on easily, no tugging
– pigmented
– waterproof
– gentle, doesn’t irritate eyes
– longlasting
What I didn’t like:
– those with very oily lids should use a primer with this
– the price
My mum is not really into makeup. She started wearing some foundation and lipstick lately, but that’s it. My boyfriend’s mum instead loves makeup and often buys products on impulse. And since she knows I’m a makeup addict, she’s so kind to give me what she doesn’t use. One of the latest things she passed onto me was Collistar Professional Eye Pencil in Metallic Violet, a pencil I always wanted to try but never really bought for the not very cheap price.
But I like this pencil so much I think I might splurge on some of the other colors once in a while. Metallic Purple is a beautiful medium, not too soft but not too bright either purple shade with a slightly metallic finish. Just one layer is enough to get an opaque and wearable line of color that will spice up a look without being too vibrant or intense.
On one side, the pencil has a rubbery applicator you can use to smudge the color. The applicator’s not bad at all but I rarely use it cos I just don’t like the look of smudged eyeliner too much, I prefer a defined line. But that’s just personal preference. In any case, the pencil’s waterproof so be careful (and quick!) when you use it cos if you make a mistake, correcting it is not that easy.
The texture of the pencil is very creamy and it glides on like satin. Despite this, it doesn’t smudge and you won’t find yourself with horrible panda eyes. I’ve tried this pencil both with and without a primer and in both cases I’ve never had any problems with the color fading or travelling everywhere. On the contrary, once applied it stays put for the entire day.
And it lasts fairly long on my waterline too. I have to reapply it there every few hours compared to every five minutes like it happens with most pencils. However, I think those with very oily lids may have problems with the liner fading and disappearing but nothing a primer can’t fix. Oh, and the pencil is very gentle on my eyes and didn’t irritate them, which is something I always worry about whenever I try a new pencil.
Summary
Overall, I love Collistar Professional Eye Pencil in Metallic Purple. It is a creamy and pigmented eyeliner that lasts all day and comes with a rubbery applicator you can use to smudge the line. However, it is on the pricey side.

We are the colored eyeliners fans! And it’s purple color!
Looks and sounds a bit like Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Place eye liner in Black Plum, in terms of the shade and (metallic) finish, and the wearability. EL one also sets quite fast, and once it sets….no way to smudge it, nor fix it, that ‘stubborn’! But of course, good for those with oily lids. No fading, no panda eyes, and the likes.

Vonvon, we really are eheh
I haven’t tried the EL pencil yet. I keep meaning to but there’s only one counter in my town and it’s in an area where I don’t go very often. But from what I read in your review, they sound somewhat similar. I really need to stop being lazy and go to the counte for a proper comparison
