Hello guys,
like I promised you yesterday, here’s a new feature called Sunday Survey. I thought it’d be nice to get to know each other better, so if you’re interested, copy the questions in the comment section with your answers. 1. Do you have a nickname?
Gio, which is short for Giorgia. I don’t know why but I don’t really like my name so I’m glad everyone calls me Gio, it’s cuter I think.
2. Current beauty obsessions?
Colored eyeliners, they are fun and can spice up any looks. I can’t stop buying them these days.
3. What are you reading right now?
I’m in a fantasy phase right now. I’m currently reading The Darksword Trilogy, written by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. These books tell the story of a man born without magical abilities in a realm where magic is life and those without it are condemned to death. He manages to escape this horrible destiny but now seeks revenge. So far, I’m loving it.
4. Facebook or Twitter?
Twitter, it’s simpler and easier. I don’t like Facebook, it’s too cluttered and there is too much going on. Too many applications and quizzes that are very distracting and take up too much of your time. And it’s so annoying that you get notified about every little thing your friends do, like what quiz they took or what animal they adopted on Farmville. Why would I be interested in that?! Besides, Twitter works, Facebook doesn’t.
5. What do you think of ankle boots?
I don’t get ankle boots. I mean, they’re not shoes but they’re not boots either. Can’t you just pick one? I think some ankle boots can look nice if worn with long jeans or trousers but with skirts, no.

I look forward to more surveys, I think they’re really fun! I too was planning something “community” based to get to know my readers more as well, but still toying on the idea.

1. My nicknames are Ren or Nee (my friends are so creative, haha).
2. Current beauty obsession is gray nails! Just blogged about it because I’m obsessed.
3. Not reading anything at the moment, though I just finished the 3rd Twilight book yesterday. Don’t laugh! I wanted to see what the fuss is all about because the movies are quite nice. I think the books are horribly written but I like the storyline a lot!
4. To be honest I’m not that into social media, but I feel like I have to have it! Twitter is cool but I think I prefer Facebook more, more privacy and it’s great to catch up with old friends and see what they are up to!
5. I can understand why you dont like ankle boots but I think they are cute! One thing I don’t like is that it cuts your leg so it looks shorter so I prefer something a little higher, but overall I think they are ok.

Renee, I’m glad you like the idea and I think you should do something like this for your blog, it’d be fun!
I’ve read the first Twilight book but didn’t like it so I’m still debating whether to read the others or not. I can understand why people like the storyline, it’s the horrible writing that I can’t stand. I think Stephenie Meyer could have developed the story much better if only she didn’t write like a kid but I gotta give her merit for encouring people, esp younger ones, to read.
As for Facebook, I like the idea of catching up with old friends and see what they are up to, that’s fun. It’s just has too many applications for my taste and I find it confusing lol.

4. Facebook or Twitter? Eh, neither. Right now I feel like face-to-face communication is good enough, though when I go to college and don’t see my friends every day I have a feeling that might change…

-At this moment, not any real book. But reading some online abstracts/excerpts from a recently concluded medical congress.

Rebecca, thought you’d say blush lol. I started using blush about two years ago and became obsessed with it, but now I moved on to eyeliners. But blush brings a nice pop of color to your cheeks, defines your face and makes it glow so it’s easy to get addicted.
And I agree with you about face-to-face communication being better than talking through a computer. I think social media is a nice way to keep up with friends you don’t see very often and lately more and more brands are jumping on the bandwagon and posting news and sales on twitter/facebook so it’s a more immediate way to stay up to date with the latest news. But otherwise, talking to people in person is always better.

I’m like you with Twitter. I don’t tweet much as I don’t always know what to say but it’s a good way to catch up with friends and brands. I think Facebook is a good way to catch up with friends, but I wish it weren’t so cluttered. I feel that with so many games and applications, you can spend hours on it without even realising it. lol.
Vonvon, I just checked your blog and I fell in love with the Anna Sui eyeshadows. The shades are so pretty and colorful and I love the design. Anna Sui is one of those brands that always makes me salivating when I see their products but sadly they’re not available here. That’s bad for the makeup addict in me but good for my wallet cos if it were I’d get everything just for the cute packaging.
