What are your 5 favourite beauty brands?

Beautiful With Brains says: that’s a hard question, there are so many I like! If I had to choose 5 I’d guess I’d pick, in no particular order, Barry M, Sleek, Fyrinnae, Pupa and Urban Decay.

I like that it’s not 1! Let’s think: Chanel, YSL, Illamasqua, Lancome. 5th would be NARS, Urban Decay of Benefit :) I am so bad at questions like this.

I like L’Oreal HiP a lot, especially the eye shadows. Also, I love Rimmel lipsticks, Yes to Carrots glosses, MAC paint pots, and LORAC eye shadows, too. I guess I don’t love the brand as a whole but there are some certain items I can’t live without.

Beauty brands…guess that include makeup and skincare….

#1 is MAC, then in random order…..Estee Lauder, Dior (expensive but getting to know it better, and learning to appreciate its quality and finesse, both for its makeup and skincare too) Stila, Lancome(more for its skincare)…..

There are few more….but you can almost always find one of these 5 brands on my dresser at any given time.

P.s. Thank you for your kind words and support, gio. *hugs

Mmm…
1. Lush (skincare)
2. Sephora (skincare and makeup – e.g. foundation)
3. Maybelline (mascaras)
4. Dior & Lancome (lipsticks and lipglosses)
5. Kiko (eyeshadows)

I’d like to try Bare Minerals foundation, maybe it would be included somewhere in this list!

Marina, this is a hard question, there are so many brands out there. I love Illamasqua too, it’s such an edgy and original brand!

Heidi, I’ve recently discovered YSL and I love their products, they work well and are so luxurious. Too bad they are so expensive too.

Dao, I love the L’Oreal Hip you sent me too. It’s so unfair we don’t get this line here in Europe. :( Every brand has some great and some crappy products so its’ understandable that you love certain items more than the brand. :)

Vonvon, yep, both. And I had a feeling MAC was gonna be in your list. :) I’m a bit disappointed with some of their policies lately but they do make some very good products like their brushes, love them! And I’ve never tried Lancome skincare but their mascaras are really nice and the lipsticks so moisturizing.

You’re welcome hun, I’m sorry you’re dealing with all that but just remember that there are lots of people who love you. :)

Gyudy, Lancome lipsticks are among my favourites too, they are so creamy, pigmented and moisturizing. Loving Kiko eyeshadows too, for the price the quality’s really good.

Maddie, I know, choosing just 5 is so hard! I love all the brands you mention but my wallet doesn’t lol. They’re so expensive but most of their products are great. :)

In no particular order: L’Oreal HiP, MAC, Urban Decay, NARS, and Makeup For Ever.
I’m also very tempted to throw Dior in there, but it’s so damn expensive I don’t actually own any – I’ve just stared at it longingly while it sits on its little shelf in Sephora. *sigh*

Thank you again, gio.

Regarding Lancome, I started using its skincare at first, though I have purchased some of its makeup. Love the Lancome Oscillation mascara. Think I should try their lipsticks too.

I think I like too many brands that make it hard for me to choose… hehe~ It’s fun reading other people’s though. :)

Rebecca, I love Urban Decay too, it’s such a cool brand. The packaging is always so edgy and pretty and the eyeliners and primers are must-have for me. I often do that with Dior. I own a couple of things from them but most of the time, I spend hours at the counter staring and wishing the prices weren’t so high :)

Dee, I love Illamasqua and Clinique too. The first is great for makeup and the second for skincare. And how I wish Guerlain and Dior weren’t so expensive too!

Vonvon, you’re welcome.

You should definitely try Lancome lipsticks, they have a fantastic texture, very creamy that glide on lips so smoothly and have good color payoff. And they are among the most moisturizing lippies I’ve ever tried. ;)
