What I didn’t like:
– doesn’t last all day unless you use it with a primer
In the past year I seem to have developed an obsession with colored eyeliners, but I had never tried a matte one before. Not only they are hard to come by, but most of the time the pigmentation leaves much to be desired. So you can imagine how happy I was when I had the chance to try Barry M Matt Super Soft Eye Crayon.
The color I have is Matt Pink and it is a bright Barbie pink shade with a matte finish. The pigmentation is fantastic and just one swipe is enough to get an opaque line. Of course such a bright shade (and the other shades in the range are just as colorful and vibrant) won’t appeal to everyone but if you’re not scared of color or just want to add a colorful pop to your look, you should consider this eyeliner.
The pigmentation is not the only good thing about this cute and chubby pencil. I also love the texture. It is so creamy and glides on smoothly. No pulling or tugging of the skin with this. 
In addition, it also makes a pretty good eyeshadow base that would make the colors on top really pop.
As for the staying power, the eyeliner lasts 6 hours on my slightly oily lids without a primer. I always wear one, even when I use it as a colored base (I use colored base to make shades more vibrant, not to improve their staying power) so this doesn’t bother me. And considering how cheap these are and how rare it is to come across some bright matte eyeliners, these are worth every penny even if they don’t last all day without a primer.

If you’re looking for a bright matte eyeliner that is pigmented, creamy and cheap, then give Barry M Matt Super Soft Eye Crayons a try. They also double up as eyeshadow bases but need a primer to make them last all day.

Pink looks great on green eyes but it looks horrible on me ( I have brown) as if I was crying all day long.

Marina, I can see why you though it was a lip liner. Pink is a common color for lip liners but no so much for eyeliners.
Oh, it’s a shame pink doesn’t suit you but I bet there are lots of other colors you can rock instead like blues and greens.
You’d think this is a lip pencil! I wonder how it looks on eyes, I’m not a fan of pink on eyes but this totally leaves me wondering. I might play with my makeup now

Marce, it looks more a lip than an eye pencil, I agree but it looks beautiful on the eyes. It adds a fun splash of color to any look. I will do a look with it soon.

Hmmm, I think I have to give Barry M a try now… Can you believe it? This brand was too boring for me though Lauren used it a lot. But the shade sticks seem to be very good. I’d love to have more matte coloured bases. So, thanks for this convincing review!

Mylanqolia, I can’t believe you though Barry M was a boring brand, it’s on of my favourites mainly because it has such a wide selection of colors and the prices are so cheap! I think it’s hard to find good matte bases/eyeliners but these are really amazing. The texture is so creamy and easy to work with it and the pigmentation’s really good. I do wish they lasted longer on oily lids but a primer fixes the problem.
I can’t wait to hear what you think of it when you try it.

Me too have a liking for colored eyeliners. But haven’t seen one as pink and as bright as this one. If I get my hands on this, I might just use this alone on my lids, draw a thick line, and add some sparkles on top, for that not-so-Vonvon style…just for fun!
I like using colored eyeliners on its own sometimes.

Vonvon, this is gorgeous, isn’t it? It’s hard to come by pink eyeliners so I’m pleased Barry M released one which is so bright and pigmented. I think colored eyeliners are a nice way to spice up any looks and they look great on their own too. They add that touch of fun to a look without going overboard.
Mylanqolia, you won’t regret it. Barry M products aren’t only colorful and cheap, but the quality is also really good.
I hope you can find a German shop that sells this brand. I have to buy their stuff online and even though the wait is long, I think it’s worth it. (Having said that, I’d love it if postal service wouldn’t take so long to deliver parcels, after all shipping costs aren’t that cheap!).
