This long-wearing Blusher promises a healthy, natural flush. Its ultra-fine texture promises an excellent color payoff.
What I liked:
– beautiful matte shade
– pigmented
– soft texture
– longlasting
– the price
What I didn’t like:
– not very finely-milled
– the packaging

Thanks to my lovely friends Hanna, last year I finally had the chance to try a few Silkygirl products and one that really impressed me was their blush. The color selection is very limited as there are only four shades available, but the one I got Flashing Rose is stunning. It is a beautiful, bright matte pink that gives cheeks a nice pop of color.
The texture is very soft, but the powder isn’t very finely-milled. Despite this, it goes on smoothly and is very easy to blend. The color is very pigmented so you need to use a very light hand when applying it if you don’t wanna end up looking like a clown! The staying power is great: it lasts for most of the day and only starts fading a little in the evening.
I don’t like the packaging very much but as long as the blush works well, and it does, then it doesn’t really matter much, right? The blush comes in a see-through plastic case and a brush is included. I was expecting the bristles to be rough and scratch my face but surprisingly they are quite soft. I prefer to use my own blush brush, though, as this is so small and you risk streaks of colors on your face if you use it.
Summary:
Although a bit powdery, this is a great and inexpensive blush. Not only the color is beautiful and pigmented but it lasts all day too!
Rating: 4/5

when i started to learn how to makeup, i bought this, at that point of time , i think this colour is flattering and its inexpensive
Jess, I agree with you. Considering how cheap it is, I think it’s perfect for beginners to try and it works very well too.
The shade is really beautiful and I actually love matte blushes. The packaging is horrible.

Tavia, I agree with you about the packaging. It’s really cheap and ugly but I guess that’s to keep the price so low. Still, I adore the shade and it looks beautiful on.
Hey Gio,
It’s fun to finally be able to read your honest review. LOL the packaging! Yeah I gotta say, it looks too…minimalistic? The brush is soft, too bad it’s just too tiny.

Hanna, I’m sorry it took me so long to review it. I’m so behind with my reviews and I have so much stuff I don’t know what to write about first. lol I think I should go on a cosmetic ban for a while but I’ve never been good at those lol.
Yeah, I think minimalistic is the right word to describe the packaging. I think it could use some work but I can put up with it since the product inside is amazing. Thanks for sending it to me hun, I love it.
Hello there~ I stumbled upon your blog when I was researching for reviews on SilkyGirl’s blushes. Your post really helped me a lot! Yups, I agree that this is a good choice for a beginner like me. I also bought a brush along with it. I thought of getting it from Malaysia but Singapore Watsons had a sale so I got mine at SGD8.70.

Diyana, I’m glad you found the review helpful and I hope to see you around often.
I really like this blush, it’s pigmented, easy to blend, quite long-lasting and overall, very good quality for the price. And what a great deal you got!
