Looks: Spring is Coming

Hello ladies,

how are you all doing today? I hope you are all ok. :) Today I want to show you a look I did a couple of weeks ago but never got round to post until now (I know I’m bad). I called the look Spring is Coming because the dark gray on the crease reminds of the dark and gloomy clouds in the winter sky, while the green on the lid makes me think of spring, which I’m glad to say has finally arrived in this little part of the world. :)

Please let me know what you think and constructive criticism is always welcome. :)

Products used:
– Senna Totally Transforming Eyeshadow Primer
– Beauty From The Earth Eyeshadow in Envy
– Physician’s Formula Shimmer Strips palette in Smokey Green Eyes (dark grey)
– Sleek Curious palette (white)
– Pupa black pencil liner
– Prestige Eyeliner pencil in Kiwi
– Maybelline Cat Eyes mascara

Directions:
– Apply an eyeshadow Primer (I used Senna Totally Transforming Eyeshadow Primer) all over the lid as a base.
– Pat a light but bright green shade (I used Beauty From The Earth Eyeshadow in Envy) on the lid.
– Sweep a dark gray shade (I used the one in the Physician’s Formula Shimmer Strips palette in Smokey Green Eyes) on the crease and blend to soften any harsh lines. With MAC 219 pencil brush, apply the same shade on the lower lashline too.
– Apply a white shade (I used the one in the Sleek Curious palette) on the browbone to highlight.
– Line your upper lid with a black pencil liner and your waterline with a green pencil liner (I used Prestige Eyeliner pencil in Kiwi).
– Finish off with mascara.

Beautiful! I love it! The bright green is a nice colour. I can tell that it is spring because I can see so many kittens and cats on the streets. I would love to take them all home :) )

You are so creative at interpreting your makeup to the weather. I guess having 4 seasons has its advantages too. Love how you like to use bright colors on the lids, and a darker shade on the crease.

Marina, thanks. I love that green, it’s pale but so bright! I’m glad spring has finally sprung. Aww kittens are so cute! :)

Vonvon, thank you. I love that we have 4 seasons here and see how nature changes although in the past couple of years it seems like we’re having only two seasons: 6 months of hot torrid weather and six of freezing cold!

I’m glad you like it, I think it defines the eyes really well. :)

I think this is one of my favourite looks that I’ve seen from you so far! :) I love your description of how the colours work, the grey clouds but also the coming of Spring…we’ve had a lot of days that were both rainy and sunny here, and it really reminds me of that kind of weather, along with the green grass. If that makes any sense!

Wow, the green and grey combo is drop-dead gorgeous! So cool that you expressed the change in seasons with the help of colours. Very artistic, hon!

Mylanqolia, thank you, I’m glad you like it. The weather seems to be inspiring me a lot lately and now that it’s finally warm again I can wake up earlier and have more time to do colorful and more complicated looks. :)
